It’s shocking. It’s confronting. And it’s real.

‘She shot he**in while in labour’ IT IS impossible to imagine the pain a baby, dependent on opioids, goes through as it sweats, vomits and experiences explosive diarrhoea.

Unfortunately it can happen to ANYONE!

After surgery, cancer treatment, injury in a car accident or in any other circumstances, your physician is likely to prescribe a painkiller to help you manage the pain. Yet weeks or months later – long after the initial injury may have healed – you’re still taking opioid painkillers. In fact, higher dosage than you were in the beginning.

Unfortunately, the very drug that was supposed to help you is now hurting you.

Op**te Dependency has finally been recognized as a central nervous system disorder caused by continuous op**te intake.

Therefore, we must not judge, punish, or morally confront those with Op**te Dependency, but provide them with the appropriate medical attention they urgently need to reverse the withdrawal and its cravings.

When Israeli doctor Andre Waismann turned on his computer and saw a desperate plea for help from a Costa Rican doctor, little did he know that history was in the making.

With the help of an Australian doctor, Dr Waismann cured six-and-a-half-year-old Endriss Guzman of morphine addiction, saving him from almost certain death.

As a toddler, Endriss was given up for dead following a brain tumour operation. Given repeated and massive doses of morphine and left to die, he confounded doctors by beating the cancer. But he became a slave to the same op**tes that destroy the lives of he**in addicts.

“Endriss was in terrible condition”, Dr Matamoros told Woman’s Day. “He weighed just 13 kilos – about half of what he should have. The original brain operation and the years of constant drug use had exacted a devastating toll.

“We slowly attempted to wean him off the morphine, but he had been given so much initially that his addiction was just overwhelming and beyond us to reverse.

“It was not the brain surgeons’ fault. They truly believed he would die despite the tumour’s removal, so addicting him to morphine to stop the pain was of little consequence as he would die anyway.”
But Endriss survived.

“And we were left with the result,” says Dr Matamoros. “A boy who spent most of his time lying semi-conscious in his bed, racked with the pain associated with op**te withdrawal. A mother who had no choice but to keep injecting her son with the very drug that was stupefying and wasting him.”

“The only one to answer was Dr Andre Waismann,” she says. “He not only offered advice, but asked me to send him the boy’s case history. He then rang back and offered to come here, assemble a medical team who could assist and learn from him, and to operate on Endriss free of charge.

Brazilian-born Waismann, 39, plays down the significance of the procedure he carried out in Costa Rica with the help of Sydney doctor Yugan Mudaliar.

“This was by far the most complex and delicate case I have ever undertaken,” he said after the successful five-hour procedure in the San Carlos Public Hospital.

“But there is no magic involved. I am telling anyone willing to listen or prepared to take the time to understand – he**in addiction, morphine addiction, methadone addiction are all identical central nervous system disorders that are reversible. Totally! Almost instantly!

“Endriss will never use again. He is cured. Anyone can be cured.

“We saw the future of medicine. And we surely saw the beginning of the end of incurable op**te addiction.”

Dr. Waismann revolutionary method utilizes anesthesia and Naltrexone, an op**te antagonist, that reverses the effects of opioids.
Naltrexone medication keeps the opioid receptors blocked and cravings become irrelevant. The length of the post-ANR Naltrexone treatment is established solely by Dr. Waismann according to the specific needs of each patient.

- Are there any side effects from the medications you use?
All the medications used in the treatment are FDA approved. The patient will be on a regimen of Naltrexone following the procedure. Naltrexone is FDA approved and has been used for decades. Naltrexone has shown no serious side effects.

- How long will I take the medication after the procedure?
The answer for this question can only be determined during the actual treatment. Each patient’s needs differ; it’s depending on the level of his/her op**te addiction. If Naltrexone is properly prescribed by the physician, it will effectively prevent and have a reversal effect on cravings. The main reason for the maintenance dose is to keep the patient’s op**te receptors in the brain blocked against op**tes (i.e. He**in, Methadone etc.), to eliminate the cravings or the psychological need for op**tes, allowing the patient to resume a healthy and productive life.
