As we look back at 1974 in celebration of our 50th Anniversary, here is one of the original brochures advertising the original “Americana Inn” from when the hotel opened.

At first the hotel was in partnership with American Airlines as part of their short-lived Americana Hotels division, before it moved over to being an independent. You can also see the strong Colonial theme throughout, and the costume-like uniforms that used to be worn by the hotel staff.

Our employee 50th Anniversary lunch was today to celebrate the hotel’s anniversary including a visit from President Lee Stranburg. We are thankful to have so many long term employees who have been with us for 20+ years and more since 1974! 🎉

We made #1 for Meeting & Event Venues in the Capital Region again according to the Albany Business Review with over 10,000 events held in 2023. 👏

Just this past May our team was busy with almost 900 total events including 4 large conferences, 6 weddings, 1 prom, 7 showers, 6 celebrations of life and countless meetings. Thank you to our hardworking staff, both front and back of house, who make all of this happen every day!
