Friday is Here! It's time to unwind and relax after a week of hard work. But hey, not all drinks are created equal. Did you know a "standard drink" can vary depending on the beverage?

Here's a quick quide:
Beer 12 fl oz
Wine 5 fl oz
Liquor 1.5 fl oz

How many "standard drinks" do you typically consume in a sitting?? Although everyone's body processes alcohol differently, the way your behavior changes is also important.

If you are concerned about your drinking habits, talk to us or come and meet our amazing clinical team and staff.

We are located in Beaumont, Texas

Addiction is a family disease. One of the toughest aspects of addiction is the chaos the addicted person brings to the family.

Like any other illness, addiction elicits a multitude of emotions and behaviors from family and friends.

The more the family knows about the disease and recovery, the more helpful they will be to each other.

Consider attending a program group or family counseling session together to learn about addiction and recovery and have the opportunity to ask questions that you have specifically about your family situation.

Although taking time out for such a program is difficult, most families find it time well spent and rewarding.

We believe strongly in a compassionate approach while helping build an accountability program for each individual and family.

Most people trying to quit alcohol or questioning whether they have addiction issues find it very difficult to discuss it openly with their loved ones, so they start taking steps that might have worked for some others.

You might have tried quitting "Cold Turkey" or relying on your willpower to do it alone.
Maybe you have considered changing the regular 🍷 for a trendy "non-alcoholic" healthy beverage.
Perhaps you joined the Dry January Challenge and slipped up on Mardi Gras!

And it is ok.

Everyone's case is different. That is why you need an individualized plan to evaluate and address your relationship with alcohol and receive the support you need to create a healthier lifestyle or overcome addiction.

If you -or a loved one- are trying to quit alcohol, reach out to us so we can help you create a plan to start the healing path of your physical health, as well as emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being.

Group therapy can be a powerful tool for overcoming addictions.

Addiction can be isolating, and group therapy combats that by fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Group therapy provides a safe space to talk openly and honestly, reducing the stigma often associated with addiction.

During group therapy, members can learn from each other's successes and failures and hold each other accountable for their progress.

Having a support network is a powerful motivator for staying on track with recovery goals.
