As the Lunar New Year begins on February 10, 2024, we move into the year of the Yang Wood Dragon.
The Dragon is one of the most auspicious signs in the Chinese zodiac because of its ability to swim, fly, walk on land, and travel between between dimensions. The dragon represents power and courage, but is also a symbol of peace and the need to come together as one.
The Year of the Dragon is said to be a prosperous year where innovation and business can flourish, and we can step into a greater power and authenticity.
Dragon energy is believed to help sharpen our intelligence, wit, and understanding of the world around us, so expect greater awakenings, ah-ha moments, and a deeper wisdom to unfold as the months progress.
The element of Wood helps to soften and slow down the energy of the Dragon. Dragons can be quite fierce and hasty. Their anger can easily rise, leading to outbursts or leading with the ego rather than the heart.
The Wood Dragon is quietly confident and does things with order and meticulousness. The Dragon is highly innovative and confident, but the element of Wood allows the Dragon to take its time and focus on building a solid foundation.
Wood energy allows us to grow, expand, and keep our vision on track for the long term. The Season of Spring is connected to the element of Wood, so this year of the Dragon will help us to create new beginnings, plant new seeds, and allow our garden to flourish.
The energy is ripe for new beginnings and undergoing new ventures, but we have to create stability and work from the heart.
Green is connected to the element of wood and the heart-chakra, so in the year of the Dragon, we are going to be constantly reminded to come back to the heart, and to open ourselves to receiving.
Relationship themes may also come up for us under the Year of the Dragon, which is mirrored in Western Astrology this year too. We may find ourselves needing to balance our relationships with our sense of independence and authenticity. We may find ourselves asking how we can be more of our true selves even when in partnership with others and with the world at large.
The Yang quality that joins the Wood Dragon indicates decisiveness, taking action, and being firm and bold in our steps moving forward. Yang energy can be forceful, so we do need to be mindful of not pushing our way forward to get what we want.
We need to practice being calmly authoritative and respecting our boundaries and the boundaries of others.”~

Yes, our Super Immune blend will now have two versions:
Super Immune Classic
and
Super Immune II
Why?
Because the Benchmark Thyme parfum ingredient included in our 'classic' proprietary blend is no longer available-- and may not be able to be formulated for some time. The creator of benchmark thyme says she can not find the quantities of plant material to make the blend. Therefore, we will still offer a mighty viral and bacteria fighter in the Super Immune formulation sans Benchmark Thyme, when we run out of the 'classic' version.

We will call it Super Immune II. Or Maybe Super Immune 22 (for the year). Thoughts?

The synergistic effects of all ingredients are an incredible team and the preventative properties will be active just the same.

We are beyond blessed to have Dr. Bibi on the Synergy Essentials team. She will lead the research in digging up new information and assist in providing the studies on essential oils, so we can continue to write for you and be a top resource for this intel.

Dr. Bibi's background and passion for plant medicinals is a huge asset and will contribute directly to the Ananda Legacy project, of which the depth of information that was offered through the blogs at The Ananda Apothecary-- can continue through Synergy Essentials

We are very slowly adding the Articles to our site, but it is going to take at least a few months TBH, because re-doing the SEO is a gigantic effort.

The first blog 'article' that I've been blessed to co-author with Dr. Bibi is now available. Please find 'The Function of Essential Oils in Sinus Infection' when you have the time to read.

While we will never be able to replace Eric Cech's style and voice in these writings, we are dedicated to providing useful information just the same. We are barely beginning to cultivate the expertise and rhythm in which Eric offered as pure mastery. "Pure mastery". It has taken me 2 months in dealing with Dr. Bibi to find the center point of how to deliver the articles.

I had no idea that when I asked for her to research something, she'd provide me with so much detail I needed a dictionary and explanation on how to even begin understanding her work! It is safe to assume, that it was way over my head, and likely for her, she is dumbing down everything she finds just so it can be readily digestible! Word I had to look up on her CV was: Pharmacognosy. Bet you don't know it either! :)

I'm learning a lot already. I trust we all will once we get our momentum going and things fall into place somewhere down the line.

On this note, we will be providing two versions of Articles/Blogs in the near future. One will be the in-depth stuff for all you clinicians, aromatherapists and science buffs, and another will be an easy-to-read version of the same research much like the blog we just posted today.

This formulation will be among our Alchemy/Elixir collections. It was inspired by the 'protection' legacy blend.

Light Shield can double as a parfum, as it is extremely complex. It has been lovingly crafted, and alchemized to protect the auric field, and help one ground and center, while keeping the heart open and allowing one to maintain a soverign field. It's rather high vibing and encoded to ward away any unwanted energies (or lower resonating frequencies) that are not yours to keep or hold. Great to use when going out in public or social mingling.

Light Shield has a bit of everything in it: it's floral, citrusy, woodsy and distinct. It is not intended to be diffused, but rather to be pat upon the body or clothing, like a smudging of sorts. It can also be used to re-set or clear and harmonize your energetic space.

Should you use it as a parfum, very little is needed.
Should you diffuse it to cleanse the energy in your home, we would recommend using a nebulizing diffuser, and only for 3-5 minutes. It's rather potent. It could be a bit heady for some.
