Meet: Graham Newman

Graham is a trial lawyer, who’s work focuses on complex litigation, including products liability and class actions. Known for being bold and courageous in the court room, Graham has taken on the likes of Johnson & Johnson, 3M, SCANA, and is presently involved in the unlawful sale of cryptocurrency.

Having a deep affinity for community empowerment, he also teaches undergraduates through the University of South Carolina Honors College as well as serving as Alumni Advisor of the Blockchain Law Society through the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Graham Newman spoke yesterday at the South Carolina Bar Convention on “Consumer Scams in the Digital Age”.

“The creation of a digital economy has given rise to new conveniences and opportunities, but it has also given rise to new ways for scam artists to practice their craft.”

He will also be speaking on the “Bits and Bytes of Cryptocurrency Litigation” on Saturday, so stop by if you are at the convention.

Mark Chappell has been very fortunate to practice as a trial lawyer for over 30 years. He has handled thousands of cases in personal injury, truck and auto accidents, catastrophic injury, and product liability. A true advocate for justice, Mark has served on many association boards both locally and nationally.

Having grown up one of 10 children on a farm, Mark believes that the foundations of success are hard work, an exhaustive support system, and the drive for change. A husband of over 35 years to his high school sweetheart, father of 4, and grandfather of 8, Mark has a passion for educating and mentoring future generations of leaders.

The deadly bus accident in New York State tragically highlights a little-known threat to those traveling on buses.

A similar accident to the New York crash occurred in North Carolina in 2016. The outcome of that tire’s failure quickly revealed that the tire was Chinese-made and did not meet the level of American-manufactured quality.

Chappell, Chappell, & Newman represented one of the victims and settled a products liability claim against the tire manufacturer.
