Reach out if you can host a donation box for HACHR this year!

At HACHR we are lucky and grateful to be able to get most dog vaccines to our participants for free! Rabies shots and cat vaccines are another story, both of which are required for getting into local housing. So we’re raising funds to help our participants keep their companions healthy and take steps towards becoming housed.

Last year California had nearly 10,000 overdose deaths, with death rates the highest among Black and Native Americans and with more and more young people dying. As the overdose crisis rages on in our state now is not the time to lose the only state investment into harm reduction program staffing. Cutting harm reduction funding sends the message that the lives of people who use drugs are disposable.

The California Overdose Prevention and Harm Reduction Initiative will build on and expand the successful 2020 pilot project and will fund the workforce needed to address the overdose crisis

WE ARE THE EXPERTS, give us our funding!

Evicting people from public housing and discriminating against them in the private housing sector for suspected drug use is unacceptable. Everyone needs a home. https://uprootingthedrugwar.org/

The time we got to share with Felonie, Riz and John From was ✨MAGICAL! ✨

The ways that these two teams of people immediately bonded was heart warming and important and all the good stuff. Even despite the vastly different environments we each provide Harm Reduction work/love in, there was such an immediate sense of closeness and understanding. We love you all! Come back soon!
