Lots of great events going on around the state!

Today, Vermont State University honors and celebrates Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free.

Last month, VTSU Johnson students presented research findings from the Infant Development Lab at the Association for Psychological Science (APS), a national peer-reviewed conference, in San Francisco!

The students presented alongside graduate students, post-doctoral candidates, and faculty. The trip was fully funded by Dr. Gina Mireault's research grant from the National Institutes of Health, which is funding studies conducted by the students on infant cognitive development.
