Amplify Choirs

Our “Greatest Showman” Concert Musical Camp is next week! Camp attendees will be learning songs from the hit movie, “The Greatest Showman,” and then we’ll be putting on a mini concert for friends and family. The kids will have opportunities to perform solos, as well as participate in several group numbers. We have a few spots available. DM us for details.

We’ve been having so much fun at our Taylor Swift Music Video Camp! These kids are amazing singers. We can’t wait for you to see the video!!

Today in our Summer Music Olympics Camp, the kids learned the Star Spangled Banner. 🇺🇸 🎶🎵 We are having such a blast and learning so much!

We are excited for the Syracuse parade this Saturday! Cheer for these kids if you see them along the parade route! 🤩 We are gearing up for our fall season and have some big announcements coming soon 👀

We are so excited about our Preschool music camp this summer! Every Wednesday morning from June 5-July 10. We will be having a princess and super hero day, beach day, and even a Bluey day!

Our end-of-year concert is Friday! These kids have been working so hard and we are so proud of them. The concert is open to the public and tickets are only $5! Come celebrate some Disney magic with us! 💜

This summer we are having a week long Music Video Camp. We’ll be teaching the kids a mashup of Taylor Swift songs, recording the song, and then filming a music video. It’s going to be SO FUN! We’ll have opportunities for solos and other fun activities taking place. It’s for kids ages 9-15 and it will be held July 15th-20th at our Ogden Studio. Spots will be limited, so sign up today.

We have had a couple of people reach out and ask us if we are enrolling for all of our classes, and the answer is YES! If your son or daughter enjoys singing and wants to get better, we’d love to have them join our group. We have so many fun things planned! Visit our website for information on classes!

We wanted to invite the public to our debut concert as Amplify Choirs. The concert is being held at the historic Peery’s Egyptian Theater in downtown Ogden. Please come and hear uplifting, fun music, and see what our students have been working hard on these past few months. Tickets are $5 at the door.

We are actively recruiting 9th-12th graders for Amplify’s senior choir, Choral Edition. We’d love for your kids (or your neighbor’s kids) to come and be part of it. It would help us out so much if you could share this post with your friends and family.

Does your child love to sing and perform? We are continuing to build our children's choir program in Weber & Davis County and we'd love to have them join us. Amplify Choirs aims to improve musicality, create meaningful connections and boost overall self-confidence. We are trying to build something amazing in our area, and this is something that is SO GOOD for our kids. Registration is open now until March 7th.

In our Amplify KIDS are MUSIC choir, we are learning a new song called “Shine.” The lyrics in this song are so incredible. It talks about shining our light, showing love for each other and having a sense of belonging. It is the PERFECT song for our Spring theme this year, and the overall goal of our Amplify Studio. We want our students to feel a sense of belonging and togetherness! We have some amazing kids in these choirs and we are so grateful to be working with them. - Jake & Amanda

We had our first rehearsal last week, and these are a few of the children from our Senior KIDS are MUSIC choir within Amplify. Janette will be helping, training and teaching us over the next few weeks as we work to fully take over the KIDS are MUSIC business. It was amazing to see her in her element teaching and instructing these talented kids.

We are still letting people into our choirs over the next few weeks. If you know anyone who wants to join, please give them our contact info. We’d love to chat with them!

Our Amplify studio theme for our Spring concert is, “Shine Your Light.” We have selected songs that zero in on this theme, and it’s going to be amazing. At rehearsal this past Thursday, we reviewed the below quote and talked about its meaning. It was amazing to see our students mention the importance of seeing the light within themselves, and also seeing the light within other people. We encouraged the students to be a light and also see the light in others—and in this world, that really is being brave.

Hello everyone! We are Jake & Amanda Tesch, the new owners of the KIDS are MUSIC Studio (recently renamed Amplify). We have five amazing children: Davis, Max, Benson, Audrey and Adele.

Jake grew up singing in KIDS are MUSIC and Choral Edition. He went to Bonneville High School and was in their chamber choir Tapestry and Laker Choir, and he performed in the musicals all three of his high school years. He also is a founding member of the a ca****la group, Vocalocity, and has been performing with them for just over 18 years. He’s been blessed to perform all over the country with his a ca****la buddies! Jake has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Marketing, and for the past fifteen years has worked in marketing for various companies in Utah.

Amanda comes from a family of seven daughters. And yes, they have sung many, many times together over the years. Amanda is a singer/songwriter and has written and arranged several beautiful songs. She joined Vocalocity over five years ago and has helped take the group to the next level. She has been a massage therapist for the past 18+ years and gets rave reviews from all of her clients. She is also an English major from WSU.

Our family is excited to work with and collaborate with the past, present and future KIDS are MUSIC family. Our greatest desire is to help children in our community experience the many benefits of music, and give them the opportunity of being a part of a team that is passionate and likeminded. We cannot wait to experience all of the great things that will come from working together and making music with our choirs.

We are excited to let you know that the KIDS are MUSIC company is now Amplify Choirs (Amplify for short). However, we have decided to keep all of the names of the Choir & Production Groups the same. So, within Amplify we'll have the same names you have come to know and love: Tiny Tones, Melody Makers, KIDS are MUSIC, Choral Edition, Shooting Stars, Pizzaz, Broadway Kids and Class Act. Yes, we are going to be bringing back CHORAL EDITION IN MARCH!

We are really looking forward to working with your incredible children. We are so grateful to Mark and Janette for their 43 years of musical instruction and service to the community. We love them and hope to carry on their wonderful legacy.

Many of you are already aware of some very exciting news at the KIDS are MUSIC Studio. After 43 years, we are stepping away from the business of teaching, serving, and sharing our love of music with families in the community. It has been such a joy for Mark and I and our hearts are full. We are excited to have Jake and Amanda Tesch step into the roles of moving Kids are Music forward and we are excited about the love, passion and energy for music that they will bring! Jake is a former student and he and Amanda are founding members of VOCALOCITY. KIDS are MUSIC is ready for them and we step away with grateful hearts!
We hope you won't mind us sharing some of our thoughts and feelings below. A big thanks to the many teachers, accompanists, staff, families and students who have supported us over the years! These relationships are the greatest blessing of all!

Words can not express how grateful we are for the opportunity to have worked with your precious children. It’s been a privilege.
For 43 years, we have taught thousands of amazing students.
Each one has a special place in our hearts.
We can’t express the joy and satisfaction we have felt as we’ve watched each student learn, work hard, be brave, grow, and improve. It’s been a blessing to be part of their growth and development!
Kids are Music has helped us raise our family, share our music, and provided the opportunity for us to instill the love of music in every student we have taught. The venues, cities and countries we have performed in over the years, have brought us so much joy and happiness. But, it’s the wonderful families we have met who have left their imprint and many precious memories in our hearts.
We are so grateful to have worked with SO MANY WONDERFUL teachers, accompanists, artists, technicians, and staff. We couldn’t have kept going without the help they provided. Some have been with us over 20 years!
Christmas is always a special time of year because Christmas music is so special! God has blessed us all with talents and has provided a way for us to share those talents. We hope that each child will continue to grow and develop their talents and that they will learn how to share those talents and use them to bring joy to others and to themselves.
Our studio theme this year is “SHINE YOUR LIGHT”.
May we all keep the “real meaning of Christmas” in our hearts.
And be grateful for the gift of God’s son who brought LIGHT into this world!
