Join us at one of our drive-thru flu shot clinics for a convenient and timely flu shot! Timing is key when it comes to getting your flu shot. For those needing just one dose, September and October are the best months. Aim for vaccination by late October/early November for protection during flu season. If you miss this, getting vaccinated after October can still help during peak flu season.

Be tick smart! We have been seeing an increase in tick reported infections in Kansas. While most tickborne infections occur during the summer, ticks may still be active into the fall.

Ticks carry pathogens that can cause diseases such as Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis and Rocky Mountain Spotted fever. Tick prevention is the best practice to avoid these diseases!

Tammy Moore, Franklin County Health Department (FCHD) Medical Accounts Manager, is retiring today! In Tammy's 15-year tenure with FCHD, she has impacted many lives.

Tammy worked in the front office before becoming the Medical Accounts Manager. She always served with a warm smile and made you feel important. Her willingness to help was ever-present.
