When surgery is required an arthroscopic repair is typically recommended for cosmises and due to surgeon training. What common syndrome are women three times more likely to develop then men? Compression of the medial nerve as it passed into the hand or carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). CTS can produce a variety of symptoms including pain in the hand and arm with numbness or tingling. Most CTS can be treated non-operatively, however when non-operative treatments fail to provide lasting relief Dr. Buch may recommend a carpal tunnel release.

Although his exact injury is unknown he commented that he would be on crutches for weeks and and away from the tour for many months to recover. This indicates he is dealing with a more significant knee condition such as cartilage damage or arthritis. Roger also stated this surgery will leave him with a glimmer of hope that he can return to competition.
