Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-Free Youth
To educate, engage and empower our communities to prevent youth alcohol, to***co, and drug use.
Our vision is to have families, schools, and communities that are informed about the importance of prevention, that actively participate in prevention efforts, and who encourage low-risk behavior; and to have significantly higher numbers of healthy, drug-free young people who do the same.

This June, we proudly stand in supporting our LGBTQIA+ community!
Did you know that LGBTQIA+ individuals face unique mental health challenges that can lead to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation?
Barriers to Mental Health:
1. Discrimination & Stigma: Many LGBTQIA+ people face daily discrimination,
leading to chronic stress and mental health struggles.
2. Lack of Support: Inadequate support systems and rejection from family or
community can leave individuals feeling isolated and alone.
3. Limited Access to Care: Finding LGBTQIA+-friendly mental health services can be
challenging, making it harder to seek help.
The Impact:
• LGBTQIA+ youth are more than twice as likely to experience suicidal ideation
compared to their heterosexual peers
• Transgender individuals face an even higher risk, with nearly 40% reporting
serious consideration of su***de in their lifetime
What Can We Do?
• Raise Awareness: Share information to educate others about these challenges
• Provide Support: Be a safe and supportive ally. Listen, validate, and stand by
your LGBTQIA+ friends and loved ones
• Advocate for Change: Support policies and organizations that work to improve
mental health care access and fight discrimination
Together, we can create a world where everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued. 💜
Our youth are the leaders of tomorrow, and they deserve a future free from to***co. On this World No To***co Day, let's commit to protecting and educating our young generation.

A bill to legalize recreational ma*****na, HB1633, recently passed in the NH House and will now be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow, Thursday, April 25th, at 1:45pm.
The U.S. Surgeon General states: "No amount of ma*****na use during adolescence is known to be safe. Recent increases in access to ma*****na and its potency, along with misperceptions of safety of ma*****na endangers our most precious resource, our nation's youth."
According to the Lancet Journal of Psychiatry, daily ma*****na users under age 17 are:
• Less likely to graduate from high school
• More likely to use other drugs
• More likely to develop addiction
• More likely to attempt su***de
Will you help prevent and reduce serious harm to our youth from cannabis and high potency THC that other states have experienced post legalization?
Please visit link.cadyinc.org/hb1633ac to compose a message to your State Senator and Governor Sununu, and tell them you do not want recreational ma*****na legalized in New Hampshire. Additionally, you may also use the NH Senate Committee Remote Sign-In at link.cadyinc.org/hb1633rsi below to say “No” to HB1633 and optionally upload testimony that will be received by every member of the NH Senate Judiciary Committee.
Please, stand up for youth health and safety, stand up against child endangerment by preventing mental health crises and su***de, and take a stand for preventing addiction and saving lives – say “No” to the legalization of recreational ma*****na in New Hampshire.
