Commercial real estate prices are generally at a discount compared to the first Fed rate hike back in March 2022, according to Green Street's Commercial Property Price Index - specifically, the latest data shows a drop of 21% since then. Multifamily is heading back to demand outstripping supply.

Based on the latest letter by Dr. Peter Linneman, the national multifamily market is oversupplied in the short term. But with fewer projects breaking ground due to typically higher construction costs, recent capital market turbulence, and general project delays, we anticipate the market will likely level out, gradually transitioning back to undersupply.

Here’s the latest on the US hotel revenue performance. According to STR and Tourism Economics, Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) has recovered on a nominal basis when compared to 2019 levels. However, real recovery, taking inflation into account, is still in progress and expected to be mostly accomplished by 2026.
