Was THRILLED when I close-cropped some of yesterday's total solar eclipse and saw even more details of the solar flares from the surface of the sun!
And...
More of the eclipse effect.
Had a fantastic day in Van Buren, Missouri for the total eclipse! Great family event on the banks of the Current River! More to follow.
Heads up, everyone! Two announcements...
#1. Regarding cleaning our camera sensors, I now have enough swabs and fluid that we can get things rolling. All we have to do is set a time(s) and place(s). I'm fairly flexible; could be at my studio just east of Rolla, an Arts Rolla! office in town, anyplace convenient to 2 or 3 of you at a time (Panera?), or? Those interested talk to each other and see what works. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to show you, BUT, since I have to buy good sensor swabs that cost $5 each, please be ready to cover that per camera. Fluid is free. I need to know who wants to play so we can manage it.
#2. Know anyone that got a nice DSLR for Christmas and is overwhelmed? Feb 8th and 15th in Salem, 6-8pm (or later) I'll be teaching folks how to get comfortable with their new gear. The fundamentals of how your camera does what it does, and how to interpret the information it gives you so that you can produce images that make you happy. Growing your confidence!
It's $30 for the two-night class, but it will include how to clean and care for your camera (above). We'll look at some 100+ year-old cameras and learn what little difference there is with today's gear. I'll have info on how to sign up next week.
Questions? You know how to reach me! :)
