The Boulder District Court has ruled in favor of Boulder County and the City of Boulder, represented by Singleton Schreiber and EarthRights, allowing their lawsuit against ExxonMobil and Suncor to move forward.

This landmark decision marks a major victory in holding these oil giants accountable for their role in the climate crisis. 🌎

Robert O. Saunooke is a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and a nationally recognized Tribal Law attorney. He is the leader of our Tribal Litigation practice, and a part of our Climate Change Litigation practice.

With 30+ years of experience advocating for Native American tribes, he is leading multiple litigations on behalf of tribes, including national litigation seeking compensation for those harmed by the Native Boarding School System. Robert brings invaluable knowledge and dedication to protecting the rights and lands of Native American tribes.

We had a great time at the 2024 School Law Conference hosted by the New Mexico School Boards Association.

Meeting school board members and school personnel was a fantastic experience. We also had the chance to lead important discussions on litigating against social media companies for the harm they’ve inflicted on our children and school districts.
