It's that time of year! We're officially collecting nominations for our 🌟 2024 Rise'ing Stars 🌟

Each year, our Rise'ing Star award is presented to individuals served by Rise programs who have overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve their goals.

⭐ Anyone served in any Rise program in the last year is eligible to win!
🎉This year, award winners will be recognized at our Fundraising Gala on November 7th.
✍️In your nomination, try to include some details or a story that shows why this person should win the award!

We'll be at Riverfront Memorial Park enjoying the music from 6 - 8 p.m.!

While Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, the conversation continues. Rise takes pride in the services we provide to individuals with mental illness, and we are committed to supporting the mental health of our Team Members year-round!

Did you know that Rise offers in-network mental/behavioral health office visits at $0 copay under our medical insurance plan through Medica? This insurance plan is available to full-time Rise employees who qualify for benefits.

We also offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is a confidential online and telephonic service offered by Rise to employees and eligible family members to provide access to counseling for navigating day-to-day issues including mental health support, work-life solutions, legal guidance, and financial resources. The EAP includes up to 5 free visits!

As we move into the month of June, we encourage our community to take care of yourselves and one another. Mental health impacts everyone, and there is no shame in reaching out and using the resources you need to live your very best life!

DA has been supported by Rise since 2017, but since COVID lockdowns, she has felt overwhelmed by in-person meetings.

With the encouragement of her employment consultant, Alicia, she began to overcome this anxiety and has been attending in-person meetings since last summer. This shift has sparked remarkable progress: DA, who had a computer sitting unused, is now learning to use it with Alicia's support and online courses.

After many years working at Menard's, DA aspires to an office job. Given her recent progress and Alicia’s continued support, DA is hopeful she will be able to achieve this goal!

March Champion of the Month, Dan Lindstrom's passion for his work shines most when he's interacting with the people he supports.
Fellow team members note that Dan consistently treats those he supports with the utmost respect, often going above and beyond to help them care for themselves and reach their goals.

While living with his father, BH found himself dissatisfied with his living situation and craving independence. He came to Rise determined to improve his situation but uncertain of what he would be able to do.

With the guidance of his employment consultant, Vanessa, he secured his "dream job" at a local fitness club, where he now advocates for his needs confidently! Tailored to his skills, his new role suits both him and the organization.

BH's improved communication with his leaders has enabled him to request additional hours, boosting his confidence. With a steady income, he's saved up to move out of his father’s home and into his own place!

After over four decades of dedicated service, including more than ten years as Rise's president and CEO, Lynn Noren has announced her retirement. Her advocacy has transformed the lives of people with disabilities and opened doors for thousands of people in Minnesota and Wisconsin, leaving an enduring impact in our communities!

Lynn is more than someone we see in the halls at Rise, she’s also a friend and mentor. We will miss her dearly, but we are also excited about what’s next. Thanks to her leadership, Rise is ready to keep growing and changing as we stay focused on our mission to support people to live their best lives!

💼Employment: Our mental health employment services are here to support you in your job search process. Available in various locations throughout Minnesota.
🏠Housing: Our Mental Health Housing Support Services, located in central Minnesota, are intended to help you find stable housing, develop life skills, and establish independence.
🤝Re-Entry: Our re-entry work supports ex-offenders as they seek employment, housing, and other mental health services.*
🩹ARMHS: Our Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) support people with serious and persistent mental, behavioral, and chemical health diagnoses by helping them experience more stability, develop personal skills, and prevent relapse or crisis.

*Our re-entry work is funded through the Otto Bremer Trust, the Midco Foundation, and the Stearns Electric Trust. Throwback to Rise Day at Tommy's Express Car Wash last year🚗 We had a blast, so we're doing it again!

On Saturday, May 18th from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., Tommy's Express Car Wash in Mounds View will be having their second ever Rise Day, where 20% of total sales on-site will be donated to Rise! There will also be hot dogs, chips, and beverages for purchase from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., also benefiting Rise!
