Playing it Forward, organized by Daniel Domoleczny 07/29/2021

This post has been a long time in the making and I thank you for reading it. I have been part of a group of musicians and artists gathering regularly for about the last 6 years, The Dog Beach Drummers and Dancers!
See the group here- https://www.facebook.com/groups/1800010960231022
It definitely does not feel that long and yet here we are. It began as a small group of friends and now we have over 1500 members! We are wanting to grow even more... But how? Good question. As we continue to play music and positively influence each other and the surrounding areas we had the idea of providing more to people in places we could not always be in and thus was born the idea of PLAYING IT FORWARD.
To the point! We are going to begin to raise money towards social-emotional healing and education for children through music and the arts on the South and West sides of Chicago.
How? We are developing relationships with people who are already doing that work in those communities and we want to be a positive part of their labor in any way we can and we are starting with a Go Fund Me, The Dog Beach Drummers and Dancers Fund (I am not sold on the name but we have to start somewhere).
https://gofund.me/125f865b
Please take a look at the GoFundMe. I am looking to this community to help in any way you can with a donation, sharing on social media, volunteering, connections, whatever. Everything helps.
I also have a podcast and we dedicated an episode to this group and this cause so please check it out and you will also gain a little further insight into our gatherings, the ecstatic states we all know and love and this Charity project we are embarking upon.
https://anchor.fm/.../Dog-Beach-Drummers-and-Dancers-e155n86
We are looking to book some gigs to help our cause. So we get to do what we love... drum, dance, party and create positive vibrations and use our efforts to also help those in need through the mediums that have been so beneficial to us! AKA PLAYING IT FORWARD
Long post, lots here, much love. We all want to help others I believe. Here is a reminder that there are many ways to do that. -Daniel

Professor Robert Thurman, The Story of Liberation by Gin & Ta**ra • A podcast on Anchor 04/19/2021

Hey hey! So I've got a couple things coming that I'm going to be sharing. First, I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing one of my favorite teachers in any tradition, Professor Robert Thurman (yes, the father of Uma Thurman). His knowledge is deep and his compassion is genuine. We discuss some ideas of human development and the obstacles of modern life in this culture. This is the first half of the episode, the second to drop next week. It was an honor to speak with someone who has taught me so much and I'm very happy to share this! Enjoy the episode.

Specifically the psychology and Spirituality behind our tendency to believe. Definitely not saying there isn't some crazy truth out there, but like I was once told, "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear". Thanks for checking them out.

How Positive Emotions Build Physical Health: Perceived Positive Social Connections Account for the Upward Spiral Between Positive Emotions and Vagal Tone - Bethany E. Kok, Kimberly A. Coffey, Michael A. Cohn, Lahnna I. Catalino, Tanya...

Some of the medical terms may be foreign to some but I found this article and wanted to share the abstract. Briefly, it states that positive h3ealth and emotions are affected by our perceptions of our positive social connections. Just saying, we do rely on each other even if it may not seem like it. Be well.

"The mechanisms underlying the association between positive emotions and physical health remain a mystery. We hypothesize that an upward-spiral dynamic continually reinforces the tie between positive emotions and physical health and that this spiral is mediated by people’s perceptions of their positive social connections. We tested this overarching hypothesis in a longitudinal field experiment in which participants were randomly assigned to an intervention group that self-generated positive emotions via loving-kindness meditation or to a waiting-list control group. Participants in the intervention group increased in positive emotions relative to those in the control group, an effect moderated by baseline vagal tone, a proxy index of physical health. Increased positive emotions, in turn, produced increases in vagal tone, an effect mediated by increased perceptions of social connections. This experimental evidence identifies one mechanism—perceptions of social connections—through which positive emotions build physical health, indexed as vagal tone. Results suggest that positive emotions, positive social connections, and physical health influence one another in a self-sustaining upward-spiral dynamic."

Our Story

Dr. Daniel Domoleczny is a 2015 graduate of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He currently treats patients in the Chicagoland area. In addition to his medical practice he also works as a personal trainer and nutrition coach in Chicago’s North Shore. Over the last 10 years, Daniel’s passions has lead him down different paths of healing and he now can operate as an instructor for Shamanic practices and Reiki. His knowledge and experience have helped to shape his person as well as his practice.

Daniel’s clinical insights are influenced not only by his scholastic education but by his experience as a personal trainer for over 12 years. In 2015, Dr. Domoleczny began teaching Yoga and has been continuing his education not only for his personal practice but as an additional framework for much of what he does in a clinical setting as well. In 2012, he received teachings on the practice of Shamanism and continues this practice and teach today. Furthermore, for the last 10 years Dr. Domoleczny has been a Usui Reiki practitioner and instructor.

Formal training and clinical experience have provided Dr. Domoleczny with the tools necessary to isolate the causes of concern and the ability to explain the steps down the path of healing. Energetically, his experience with Reiki and Shamanism have provided the awareness to offer guidance on the spiritual aspects of health when appropriate. His work as a personal trainer and a Yoga instructor give him unique insights into a person’s physical structure through movement or lack thereof.

Dr. Domoleczny’s realization during an overseas tour while in the Army began the process for his work. He is an advocate for his patients’ increased sense of self awareness and empowerment to further the quality of their lives. This encompassing yet compassionate approach to his patients and their needs exemplifies Dr. Daniel Domoleczny and his practice.
