DMCC announced the launch of the DMCC Crypto Centre, a comprehensive ecosystem for businesses operating in the cryptographic and blockchain sectors. The centre will offer co-working spaces to crypto entrepreneurs and SMEs and a range of incubator and accelerator programmes, all within the DMCC’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers district. The official inauguration was attended by a number of high-profile government and industry representatives including Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO of Dubai FDI; Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation; Brock Pierce, chairman, Bitcoin Foundation, and Co-founder of EOS Alliance, Block.one, Blockchain Capital, Tether, and Mastercoin (first ICO); Saeed Hareb Al Darmaki, managing director - Middle East and North Africa of CasperLabs, and founder of Sheesha Finance; Mrinal Manohar, CEO of CasperLabs AG; Khaled Ghaith Al Zaabi, executive director of Licensing, Supervision and Compliance Operations, SCA; and Ahmed Hamza, executive director – Free Zone of DMCC.
Located in the state-of-the-art Almas Tower, the DMCC Crypto Centre is set to be a hub for the development and application of crypto and blockchain technologies. The centre offers a home to all types and sizes of crypto businesses, from companies developing blockchain-enabled trading platforms, through to firms offering, issuing, listing, and trading crypto assets. The DMCC Crypto Centre will also house a leading crypto advisory practice led by CV Labs, the entity behind the Switzerland government-backed Crypto Valley, which has previously spawned crypto leaders such as Cardano and Ethererum .

UAE to allow investors full ownership of companies from June 1
Dubai…….The UAE, a dramatic move, announced that it would allow investors and entrepreneurs full ownership of companies from June 1, 2021. Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq in a tweet confirmed that the latest decision is a new step that reflects the UAE government’s commitment to supporting the economy and enhancing its readiness for the future.
In November 2020, the UAE announced that the landmark reform allowing foreign investors 100 per cent ownership of businesses would take effect from December 1, 2020. However, after widening the scope of sectors eligible for full ownership by foreign investors, the law is now ready for roll out from June 1, 2021.
The long-anticipated and widely discussed reform, which will have game-changing implications on the investment landscape of the nation, was approved by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan last year. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has said the UAE now enjoys a fertile legislative environment for foreign direct investors in order to enhance the nation’s competitiveness.
In 2020, recorded a 44.2 per cent surge in foreign direct investment (FDI) flow to Dh73 billion year-on-year on the back of a series of region-first reforms, including the 100 per cent business ownership law. FDI flows during 2020 were mostly into digital economy, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, medical knowhow, augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR), robotics, self-drive automobiles, renewable energy, innovation, and agritech, among others. The oil and gas sector was the busiest in attracting FDIs with Adnoc spearheading a number of big investment deals and partnerships.

پہلی سٹیج: پاکستانی سیلر اپنے آپکو امیزون پر رجسٹر کرسکتے ہیں امیزون نے پاکستان کو اپنی بزنس کنٹری کی لسٹ میں شامل کرلیا-
دوسری سٹیج: امیزون پاکستان میں اپنا سیٹ اپ شروع کرے گی جس کے لیے ویب ہوسٹنگ سے لے کر اپنے دفاتر یا دراز ڈاٹ کام کی طرح سہولت سینٹر بنانا بھی شامل ہے۔
تیسری سٹیج: امیزون کا پاکستان میں بھی ڈلیوری سسٹم کو لانچ کرنا یعنی پاکستانی بھی امیزون سے شاپنگ کرسکیں گے-
پہلی سٹیج پر معاملات طے ہوچکے ہیں- عید سے پہلے اس کا آفیشلی اعلان ہوجائے گا جبکہ دوسری اور تیسری سٹیج پر بھی معاملات آخری مراحل میں ہیں ان کا بھی جلد ہی اعلان ہوجائے گا-
ابھی امیزون سے پاکستان کے پہلی سٹیج کے مذاکرات کامیاب ہوچکے ہیں جس میں امیزون نے پاکستان سے سیلروں کو رجسٹریشن کی اجازت دی ہے آپ یا کوئی بھی اپنے آپکو امیزون پر رجسٹر کرسکتا ہے اور دنیا بھر میں لوگ پاکستان کی ان چیزوں کو خرید سکیں گے لیکن خریدنے کی سہولت فی الحال پاکستانیوں کے لیے نہیں بلکہ پاکستان کے لیے صرف بیچنے کی سہولت ہے-
پھر سوال پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ پاکستان میں پے پال تو ہے نہیں تو یہ سب کیسے ممکن ہوگا تو اس سلسلے میں سٹیٹ بینک اور منسٹری آف کامرس نے امیزون سے بات چیت کرکے ان کو اس بات پر راضی کیا ہے کہ فی الحال اس میں پے پال کی بجائے بینکنگ سیکٹر کو انوالو کیا جائے گا اب امیزون کے ساتھ ساری پیمنٹ پاکستانی بینکوں کے ذریعے ہی ہوگی اور اس کے لیے فی الحال کسی پے پال کی ضرورت نہیں- اگر مستقبل میں پے پال پاکستان میں آجاتی ہے تو اس کا پاکستان کو مزید فائدہ ہوگا- اور امیزون کے پاکستان میں آنے کے بعد پے پال خود ہی پاکستان میں بزنس کو ترجیح دے گا-
اب امیزون کے بزنس کو پاکستان میں سموتھلی رن کرنے کے لیے حکومتی سطح پر 2 چیزوں کی سخت ضرورت ہے ایک لاجسٹک سہولیات (پاکستان پوسٹ، ٹی سی ایس، ایل سی ایس وغیرہ) کو بہتر اور منظم کرنا اور دوسرا پاکستانیوں کی طرف سے لگائی گئی بزنس میں 2 نمبریوں پر سخت قسم کے ایکشن لینا اور ان کو روکنا کیونکہ یہی وہ چیز ہے جس کی امیزون گارنٹی مانگتا ہے اور اسی سے پاکستان کا نام خراب ہوتا ہے۔ آپکی 10روپے کی لگائی گئی ٹھگی پورے ملک اور پورے ملک کے تاجروں کا نام خراب کر دیتی ہے-
اگلی کسی پوسٹ میں اس پر ڈیٹیل سے بات کروں گا کہ امیزون پر بزنس کرنے لئے پاکستانیوں کو کس چیز کی ضرورت ہے اور کسی چیز سے بچنے کی ضرورت ہے کیونکہ اب امیزون پر حکیم سلیمان اور عبقری کے طبی نسخے بکنے سے تو رہے-
