*On completion of this course the children will be able to create their own tiny businesses for their generation.

*Materials: all the materials will be provided by the institute.

Material: all the materials will be provided by the institute
Duration: one week (25 hours). 5 (hours / day) – 5 (days/ week). HGH is trying its best to insure the required qualifications for starting a new business is achieved. The graduate will be capable of creating his/her unique pieces of jewelry either to wear or to sell. The uniqueness of the end product is the advantage of hand-made jewelry. HGH will be there to provide its support and instruction for those who want to start their own business right away after graduation. HGH will also extends its support in exhibitions and public sale. Together we will grow up. Drawing Templates are available in different sizes and shapes in the market, but sometimes you need some special kind of designs in different sizes like Pendant Pinch or Earring backs. For this purpose you can make your own special Templates.
I’ve made it using a 1.2 mm brass sheet, and I’ve provided step by step photos and videos, so that you can make your own.

How to straighten metal sheets?
It’s much easier to flatten our metal sheets during annealing.
One of my favorite tools is car valve.
After you annealed your piece, immediately you can use car valve and flatten it while it’s still hot. Or for straightening the ring or small pieces which changed shape while working it’s a great tool.
Sometimes after you soldered the bezel or adding some twisted wire or fancy design to the bezel, the base sheet under the bezel may become curve a little bit, you can use your doming punch and flatten the piece (as you can see in the video).

Ring Clamps are one of the most useful tools in jewelry making that have many uses. I use the ring clamps to hold pieces while drilling or filing. Just be a little creative and use it to simplify the process of doing your job. How do you use ring clamps?

You can enlarge the pearl hole without dipping them in water if you use the right tools. I post the complete video of this work with a photo of before and after the pearl, and also the drills used along, with a sample of the jewelry done. I hope it is useful for you 💐💎❤

Hold the pearl with ring clamp, dip the pearl in to the water, use 0.8 mm Krause bur and slowly start drilling the hole, repeat the process for the other side of the pearl too. Then use the 1mm cone square cross bur and drill both sides of the pearl hole ( don't forget to dip the pearl in the water repeatedly).
At the end use 1mm cylinder cross bur and drill both sides of the pearl.

Maybe it has happened to you that you want to use pearls in your work, but because the pearls have very small holes, it was not possible for you.
You can easily enlarge the pearl hole in your workshop. You will need some water, pliers, a ring clamp, a flex shaft, a 0.8 Krause bur, a 1mm cone square cross bur, and a 1mm cylinder cross bur (if you want to make a 1mm hole).

Sometimes, for soldering parts of our work (such as connecting a jump ring to a pendant), we need two parts of the work to be placed on two different levels (one higher than the other).
For this, we can use two pieces of broken soldering boards. adjust the boards according to the desired height on the Soldering Pan and do the soldering easily.
For this purpose, you can use a copper, brass or stainless-steel sheet or wire under the jump ring too, but because these metals absorb the heat, soldering becomes difficult.

PART 2: you can use a broken drill bit to make a Sandpaper mandrel too. Wrap the sandpaper around the broken drill bit and tighten it with the ring mandrel, as you can see, then secure the end with Masking tape. Apply a few drops of the super glue to the end of the sandpaper mandrel to keep the layers connected. Write the grit of the sandpaper on the mandrel so that, they don't get mixed up.
An important point that must be attended in making the sandpaper mandrel, is that you must pay attention to the direction of rotation of the flex shaft and wrap the sandpaper around the mandrel based on that, because otherwise you may injure yourself and the work piece.

PART 1: To make a Sandpaper mandrel, cut a strip(3.5cm) from the sandpaper, then use the edge of your bench to make the sandpaper flexible. You can either use a special mandrel or a broken drill bit to make the sandpaper mandrel.

Polishing the inner part of the ring is sometimes difficult for jewelers because it gets hot while polishing the ring. There are tools available in the market that can be used to hold the ring while polishing. A wooden ring holder and ring holder plier are two of the most useful tools. Try them 😉

How to prepare your ceramic crucible for melting (gold or silver).
Heat the crucible until it becomes red in the middle, then add borax powder and continue heating, repeat adding borax and heating until the entire crucible covered with borax becomes shiny. Pure the extra borax out.
Your crucible is ready for melting.

There are some tools in the market that make polishing jewelry pieces easier.
When you want to polish a flat surface, use a flat piece of wood and hold your work on it while polishing. This will give you a better polish and also, prevent the piece from bending. You can use special tools which are available in the market to polish chains, rings or cuff bracelets.

Try to use all the parts of your bench pin, if you feel that you need a special cut in the bench pin (for example for cutting the jump ring coil), don’t be afraid and make your own cut.
