Oud Notes

I write this post some 14 years after filming this report and cannot help but notice how superficial our knowledge of agarwood and agarwood oil really is.  We burn its wood on a daily basis to sweeten our homes and clothes.  We burn its wood and offer it to our guests after a meal or celebration.  We take dabs of its oil and wipe it on our wrists or the wrists of our friends our beards, hair and children before going out, going to the masjid or work or mall however For the amount of money we as a society have for years (and years and years) spent on this blessed material we really actually know very little about it. 

I have chosen this video to be the first post on Oud Notes social media to set the pace for future posts.  This video was made while I was a young broadcast journalist in order to introduce or highlight something incredible from our culture.  ‘Oud Notes’ has been launched with the intention of bringing you (and me) the finest agarwood and agarwood oils from some of the most remote and unknown places on earth.

It is my aim to learn and teach all there is to know about this blessed natural material while producing some of the highest quality products and becoming a favorite product for our loyal customers.
