Success is not only based on what you can see💥

Making progress can be measured in a variety of different ways, it’s not all about scale weight, body fat and muscle.

It could be as little as deciding not to have a bar of chocolate, pint of beer or a glass of wine.

All of these small wins matter and will eventually start to build up and the big wins will follow.

There is never a perfect time to start your health and fitness journey💥

Life is always throwing new challenges and commitments your way.

Its easy to become overwhelmed and feel like you don’t have enough time to fit in everything.

However, it’s important to remember that achieving health and fitness should be a lifelong goal and that even small and achievable steps can make a huge difference.

So the first step is to make a realistic plan and set achievable goals.

You have to get started at some point so why not stray today.

I guarantee that you won’t regret it.

Do you struggle to make progress with your health and fitness goals?

We naturally think that change means that we have to totally overhaul our entire life but actually it’s the small changes that we can consistently do that have the biggest impact.

Making small changes that you do consistently implement allows you to build better habits. So when your further down the line and bigger changes are required your in a much better position to embrace them.

Assessing your daily Behaviors, activity levels, nutrition habits and removing or adding the things which will have the least discomfort but have a big impact is a great place for you to start.

This could be going for a walk everyday, removing that bar of chocolate after lunch, only having 3 beers instead of 10 on the weekends.
These changes accumulate over time so don’t be afraid to start small.

4 months Apart 💥

It amazing how much your life can change in such a short space of time.

You can lose weight, increase your fitness levels,
become stronger , improve your confidence, perform better at work.

Your health and fitness goals may seem impossible to achieve at the moment but with hard work & dedication anything is possible.

Sharon came to me with the goal of losing 10kgs and wanting to become the best version of herself.

She had very little training experience, found counting calories very stressful and was extremely nervous about training in the gym.

So rather than counting calories we started off just reducing the portion sizes of Sharon’s meals.

Focusing on Whole Foods and making sure protein was being consumed with each meal. While reducing the amount of processed foods.

We trained 3 x resistance training sessions per week and I arranged for the sessions to be carried out during the quieter times in the gym until Sharon started to become more confident in the gym environment.

This did not take long as she embraced the healthy lifestyle so the weightloss happened fast. 14kg / 31pound lost in 18weeks.

No cardio was done in the gym, the daily steps were kept height by just walking outdoors.

Sharon’s weightloss journey was a true transformation. She was dedicated to the program and the positive changes to her life were amazing.

You can’t out train a poor diet💥

Are you someone that trains frequently but your body never changes?

When dealing with coaching enquires this is one of the most common reason a client reaches out to me.

This usually comes down to their poor understanding of nutrition and how important it is for body recomposition.

One of the first things we do with clients is estimate their daily protein target and their TDEE.

Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is an estimation of how many calories you burn per day when exercise is taken into account.

Dependent on a clients goals we will then set them a daily calorie target.

This year has been incredible and I have been lucky enough to work with clients from all over the world 🌍

For now my focus is to make sure my current clients get all the support they need over the Christmas period🎅🏽

Do you struggle to manage social occasions💥

This is where most people struggle but rather than missing out you just have to plan a little in advance.

-set your self a drink amount that keep you in your calorie range.

-drink water in-between.

-go for Lowe calorie options.

-select what your going to eat in advance.

3 Simple Steps for Fatloss💥

These are 3 basic steps which if implemented will help you lose body fat with out worrying about stepping foot in a gym.

With all the conflicting information out there about weightloss so times it can be a little overwhelming.

Start getting the basics done consistently and you will be surprised how simple it can be.

How quickly can you Lose Bodyfat…

This is the most common question I get asked.

The speed you can effectively lose fat is misunderstood and often over-sold.

There are lots of different variables that come in to play.

It’s not just about being in a calorie deficit.

Are you resistance training?
Are you hitting your protein targets?
Are you managing your sleep?
Are you managing your stress levels?

Ultimately how consistently you adhere to fat loss principles will ultimately determine how quickly you lose fat.

A good recommendation is to aim for 0.5-1.5% of total body weight per week which represents a reduction of around 10-25% of your Total Daily Energy Expenditure.

If you can sustain a slightly more ‘aggressive’ energy deficit (through your diet and exercise) over a longer time period, you will lose fat at a faster rate than somebody who adheres to only a modest deficit.

The larger the larger the deficit the more difficult it is to adhere to.

Take a more moderate approach and make it more sustainable especially if you want the long term success.

2022 Berlin Marathon Finisher 💥

Proud Coach moment.
When I started working with John a couple of years ago he told me that he wanted to run a marathon.

He was 120kg and During our first session he could not run 25 meters without getting out of breath and stopping.

I knew we had a big challenge ahead but after a few weeks of training I knew he had the right mindset.

He’s a really busy professional with 3 kids but his commitment to training has be unquestionable, he rarely misses a session and always gives 100%. He’s completed a number of half marathons over the last 2 years but this weekend he achieved the goal he really wanted by completing the 2022 Berlin marathon and I couldn’t be happier for him.

Never let anyone tell you your goals are to big.

Are you making these common Mistakes💥

When ever I jump on a call with a potential client they are almost always doing these 3 things.

1-Not Resistance Training

2-Not getting enough SLEEP

3-Not eating enough PROTEIN

These 3 areas are a key factor in any type of body composition change and not getting these right will slow down your progress.

Aim for….

3 resistance training sessions per week.

6-8 hours sleep per night

1.6-2.2grams of protein per kg bodyweight

If you want long term results you have to have the right systems in place💥

Going after a quick fix is only every going to be a short lived temporary solution.

Think of your health and fitness the same way you do as your business.

Would you just wing it and hope for the best, always going for the quick fix… NO.

You would set goals, plan and get the right systems in place to make sure it was a success.

Some great wins from the team this week💥

If your struggling with your health and fitness goals Make sure your doing these 3 things and tge results will follow.

1-Set yourself clear goals.

2-Plan and track your training and Nutrition.

3-Celebrate all your wins no matter how small. It’s not all about weight loss or how much weight you can lift. Sometimes it can be just walking a longer route to work or not eating a chocolate bar.
Progress is Progress and over time it’s just like putting money in the bank it starts to stack up after a while.

Master the Basics First💥

The biggest mistake I see people make when they start a new health & fitness regime is they try to do to much to soon.

They over complicate and worry about a lot of unnecessary SH*T before they even get started.

Focus on making better food choices, getting to the gym a few days a week, increasing your activity levels and getting a good nights sleep.

If you can’t do this consistently your only going to last a few days on the more complicated stuff that takes a bit responsibility like weighing and looking your food & tracking your workouts.
