Dear All,
Please find new entry restrictions for Denmark entered into force from 01.02.2022 below.
From February 01st, 2022 the Danish Government has decided to lift the temporary requirement for testing prior to entry and to further ease a number of travel restrictions:
· All persons from anywhere in the world with a valid proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine or proof of previous infection may enter Denmark without being subject to any COVID-19 entry restrictions.
· Persons entering from the EU and Schengen without valid proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine or proof of previous infection must take a test no later than 24 hours after entry, unless they have a negative antigen (48 hours) or PCR test (72 hours) taken prior to entry.
· Persons entering from countries outside the EU or Schengen area without valid proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine or proof of previous infection must be aware of whether they are entering from a COVID-19 risk country (currently 13 countries outside the EU and Schengen) or a COVID-19 high risk country (the rest of the world). When travelling from a COVID-19 risk country, there is a requirement for testing no later than 24 hours after entry into Denmark. When travelling from a COVID-19 high risk country, there is a requirement for testing and isolation after entry into Denmark.
There are still a number of exceptions from the requirement of testing or isolation, including people resident in the border region and accompanying children.
Furthermore, the list of approved COVID-19 vaccines recognised for entry into Denmark will be expanded to also include current vaccines on WHO emergency use listing. These vaccines include Covishield, Covaxin, Sinovac and Sinopharm.
Current stricter requirements prior to boarding cruise ships will no longer apply. Passengers traveling on cruise ships will be subject to the same restrictions as all other travellers upon entry to Denmark.
All relevant information on the travel and entry restrictions will be available at the Danish Joint Authorities Website, coronasmitte.dk in Danish and English https://en.coronasmitte.dk/rules-and-regulations/.
National restrictions will as of 1 February 2022 also be lifted.

On 14 January Denmark celebrated the 50th anniversary of HM Queen Margrethe II’s accession to the throne 👑 HM The Queen is the second longest-serving monarch in Danish history so far - only surpassed by King Christian IV, who sat on the Danish throne for 60 years. The Queen's motto is "God's help, the love of The People, Denmark's strength".
HM Queen Margrethe ll has a deep passion for art and archeology. After having passed the examination in philosophy at Copenhagen University in 1960, The Queen studied archaeology at the University of Cambridge, England in 1960-1961 and earned a Diploma in Prehistoric Archaeology 🎓
HM The Queen's husband, the late Prince Henrik of Denmark (1934-2018) was a great support to Her Majesty. The two shared a common passion for art and culture. In 2013, they opened the exhibition 'Pas de Deux Royal' at ARos Aarhus Art Museum showcasing 150 of their own art creations.
As indicated, HM The Queen is a versatile artist in costume designs, scenography, illustrations, church textiles, découpage works, embroidery, and paintings. In 2021, The Queen designed costumes and scenography for the Snow Queen in Tivoli, which is the eighth time she was part of the artistic team behind a ballet performace ❄️🩰

Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄 Merry Christmas! ❤️🇩🇰
The Christmas Eve menu in Denmark consists of the same elements every year. One of the important decisions to make is regarding what kind of 'rødkål' (red cabbage) to serve. Traditionally, the Danes serve a warm, braised red cabbage for the Christmas Eve dinner.
The fresh version of red cabbage is a newer addition to the Christmas dinner, and is a lighter and healthier alternative 🎄

Advent Begins History
Advent is a four-week period that marks the beginning of the Christmas season. It is a time of spiritual preparation before the celebration of the birth of Christ. In the Roman Catholic tradition, it is also a time of penitence. The period of Advent involves reflection about what it meant for the world before Christ came and preparing the church and hearts for the true meaning of Christmas.
Each Sunday in Advent has a particular theme The first week is faithfulness, associated with Christ coming in final victory. The second and third Sundays, which feature the stories about John the Baptist, represent hope and joy. The fourth Sunday, which covers the events that led up to the birth of Jesus, represents love.
Many churches light a candle on an advent wreath each Sunday to represent each theme. The wreath is either suspended from the ceiling or sits on a table. It is made of evergreen branches and holds four candles - three purple for the first weeks of Advent and a pink one for the last week. A white Christ candle is placed in the center and will be lit on Christmas.
A common activity for children is to make Christmas ornaments. Many church Christmas trees are decorated with these ornaments that represent symbols in Christianity, like doves and fish.
Advent starts the four Sundays before Christmas. Church banners and cleric's stoles are purple during the season.
Advent is a journey towards Bethlehem. May we let ourselves be drawn by the light of God made man - Pope Francis via twitter on Dec 21, 2013.
Advent Begins Top Events and Things to Do
Decorate your home with evergreens or go to a 'Hanging of the Greens' church service. Church members decorate the church in preparation for Christmas.
Hang up an advent calendar. Many of these decorative pieces have little doors that open and reveal holiday images or have pockets with small items in them that reflect the season. They are especially popular with children who enjoy opening the little doors to reveal chocolates.
Sing Advent Hymns. Two popular ones are in the Deep Midwinter, and O Come, O Come Emmanuel.
This is true care for one another❤️
The holiday season is generally a time filled with love and good company. But many also feels extra lonely.
This year, a group of people, we call them 'ildsjæle' in Danish, have initiated a very thoughtful project: They are collecting Christmas presents for all 6,000 homeless people in Copenhagen. Right now, they have gathered 350 presents, so there is still a way to go.
If people have something they wish to donate - it might be a sleeping bag, wool underwear, gift cards for the supermarket, etc., it's possible to drop it off in central Copenhagen, and when doing so, people are also asked to write a small greeting card. Which is the most warming to the people who receives a gift ❤️
