PRESS RELEASE: The Fourth Annual ‘The Rising’ was hosted by AMB. Vital (Amanda Vital-Bedminister) on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Motorworld Show Room, Cole Bay, St. Maarten.

This year’s ‘The Rising: Women in Business’ highlighted the progress (rising) of three (3) dynamic women entrepreneurs. The event was presented interview style in front of a large and energetic audience. Featured were; Tamara Leonard, Natasha Manuela, and Ann Marlin hosted by trailblazer, Amanda Vital-Bedminister, Chief Influence Officer of CHAI Concierge. As the women shared the lows and lessons gleaned from stepping into the entrepreneurial arena, they evoked glimpses of tears and eruptions of laughter in what turned out to be an inspiring affair.

Some of the sentiments underscored during ‘The Rising: Women in Business’ include, “Inspiring”; “Rise”; “Candid”; “Generational”; “Forward Thinking”; “Community-minded”; “Action Plan”; and “Digitalization”.

From its commencement with an opening kingly declaration by Alicia M. Jobity-Liverpool, eminent Spiritual & Social leader, to the keynote address given by Madam Bernadette Davis, Vice President of the Galisbay Port, Vice President of the Office du Tourisme, President of the Economic Affairs Commission and the 2 nd Vice President in the government on the northern side— ‘The Rising: Women in Business’ was a resounding success. Notable, was the participation of a varied cross-section of women displaying their products and services.

The event ended on a high note with the first ever ‘The Rising Award’ being presented to Grace Blijden for her outstanding and consistent work in media.

Uniquely positioned to appear during women’s her-story month during the month of March, ‘The Rising’ aims to empower women to rise in their various spheres of influence at all levels of vocation.

The inaugural edition of ‘The Rising’ was in March 2020 and shifted from a virtual platform for the last three years to an in-person event for its fourth year.
