In the bag… 😉😂👍 After 2 (!) years of countless prototypes, design tweaks & supplier changes, I have finally been able to create the Kraft (y) .montecarlo travel bag of my dreams: Handmade in Italy by master artisans of natural heavy-duty cotton canvas and genuine saddle leather, this is everything I have always wanted from “the perfect all-round bag”. Its design is inspired by classic models yet quite different & optimized (or: kraftized) in numerous ways; the lid and closing mechanism are highly elegant yet practical and unfussy, the lower half of the bag is protected by a large leather bottom, it has leather piping around the folds, can be buttoned at the sides for streamlining and is neither too heavy nor too fragile for extended travels & daily use, having the perfect (plane cabin) size & weight …! Negroni time… 😉🍷🐶💨 The velvet slipper (or Albert slipper as it is traditionally called in England) has come a long way in recent years: Once confined to very limited use when a gentleman pottered around the house wearing a dressing gown or a velvet smoking jacket, it has been liberated in recent times by a crowd of rule-breaking style arbiters who appreciated the velvet slipper not only for its comfort and elegant design, but also for its versatility and yes, fun, especially when it featured witty embroidery that was very different from your grandfather’s. 😂This crowd included many of my globe-trotting friends as well as yours truly, who developed a slight addition to them at my winter home in Palm Beach. Forever blue… 😂👍 Ever since I have been a (very young) teenager, navy blue has been my favorite color ! In adult life, a navy polo shirt, trousers, jacket and suit are some of the most universal staples any gentleman (and lady) can own.
