The original program for teaching drawing was created in the 1960s at the V.I. Mukhina Leningrad Higher School of Art and Industry (since 2006, the A.L. Stieglitz St. Petersburg Art and Industry Academy) by the head of the drawing department, Professor S.A. Petrov. In MVHPU (formerly the Stroganov School of Technical Drawing, since 2009 - the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy named after S. G. Stroganov) - artist, head of the drawing department F. F. Voloshko, student of A. A. Deineka.
