Dreaming of olive trees in the warm italian sun… 😌⁣⠀
Update on our very own olive tree: still losing leaves unfortunately. I hope it will be warm enough soon to get it out of its winter-hole. So far I’m really not sure if the spot we chose this year is any better than last years… sigh. I really wish we had a better place for it during the winter months. Maybe next year we’ll just have it in one of the heated rooms? Or is that even worse? Oh lovely plant, if only you could tell me what you need… 😜🌱⁣⠀

Boho chic Save the Date cards with hand dyed, natural paper and feather detail. If you are not so much into feathers, this minimal design will also be available with different illustrations 😌 This example is of course lovingly hand printed by yours truly, but if you want to save a bit of coin, digital printing is also an option!⠀⠀⠀
I’m in love with the unexpected spring weather you guys! It is soooo lovely in our garden - flowers are coming out everywhere and I feel like the sun is giving me all the energy I was missing these past winter months. I actually find myself looking forward to long walks and spending time outside again! I guess this warm and sunny phase will be over shortly, but I’ll definitely enjoy it while it lasts ;)⠀

On of my goals for this year is to draw more. It’s one of those things that brings me a lot of joy, but I somehow don’t do enough. To be honest, I have not done a very good job of sticking with this resolution so far, but I am determined and telling you all about it makes me a bit more accountable 😋 So expect more drawing posts in the near future 😆

Oh my god, where has the week gone?? Phew. Feels like time is flying by at the moment. I am still busy with some design work, taking pictures and other secret stuff :)⠀
Aaand now I’ll just make some time for calligraphy practice! When it gets busy I still try to do at least a like bit of writing each day – I find it actually relaxing and almost meditative to focus on my hands and the manual work of writing. I’ve recently also started to work with breathing while writing calligraphy. I know, this sounds kind of spiritual and weird, but I found that it actually helps with rhythm, speed and concentration quite a lot. 😌⠀

I am currently trying to take pictures of all my semi-custom wedding suites - this minimal floral design is available too! In all my designs the calligraphy is of course handmade in the style of your choice. ✍️ ⠀

Some of those leaves are from our olive tree by the way… it’s currently residing in our basement for a winter rest, although we haven’t found the perfect spot to make it survive the cold months without (or with minimal) damage. 😢 Somehow it (usually) has lost most of its leaves by the end of the winter. Do you know of a way to prevent this? Is it maybe too cold? Do any of my plant loving friends have any tips?⠀

Still obsessed with vellum paper as you can see 😏 Also, how gorgeous is this hand dyed silk ribbon by ?! Soooo lovely - I ordered a few a while back and constantly use them in my pictures. I think they make every shot absolutely stunning! ❤ ⠀

Life can be rather overwhelming at times... right now I'm in one of those stages where there is so much to do, that I don't even know where to begin. If I have a lot of things to do at the same time, I find it pretty hard to prioritise and sometimes my brain is like »nope, too much to do, let's do nothing.« Does anyone else have this problems? 😋⠀
It really helps me to write everything down on a piece of paper and then organise everything from there. Generally I am a really tech-savy girl and I love my organisational (online) tools, but sometimes nothing beats a good old fashioned, handwritten list. I don't know what it is, but it feels like that really helps me visualise the timelines and priorities when I'm overwhelmed with stuff. Maybe thats just me... I dunno. How do you guys cope with multiple projects and timelines when it gets stressful? Any suggestions?⠀

This was one of the versions for our winter wedding styled shoot - we ended up not using this and instead went for a super minimal version without any illustrations. We used a wax seal with a mini eucalyptus leaf for decoration and I love the way that turned out! 🌱⠀
But I also really like the look of the fine illustration in this version, so I thought I’d share that one with you ;) ⠀

Oh so delicate! 💕 Love, love, love these vellum envelopes with white ink! Super special and no problem in the post if you use colored paper for your invites. Have I told you about my vellum obsession yet? As mentioned I am currently working on more semi-custom designs and I am pretty sure vellum will be in there somewhere ;)

Today was such a weird day. Lots and lots of work, but I felt pretty content anyway. How was your day so far? Its been snowing on and off here in Vienna today - so I am definitely looking forward to a hot cup of tea in front of our cozy fireplace! 😌🔥🍵

To me “having a partner in lilfe” means having someone who makes me a better person. He challenges me, shows me my flaws without hesitation and he makes me rethink habits, patterns and behaviours. But he accepts me unconditionally. He welcomes me with open arms, no matter what.
I don’t know about others, but I can say for myself that maintaining a relationship that fulfills me and my partner is hard work. I don’t believe in magical love that is effortlessly 100% perfect. Sure, you “fall in love”, but to turn that into lasting, wonderful “love”, you have to work for it. And the work never stops. I think love is something that needs constant nurturing and care to stay alive and blooming. But at the end of the day it is utterly beautiful, fulfilling and magical to have someone in your life whom you can rely on with all your hearts concerns and who will walk with you on the bumpy road that is called “your life”.

Sorry if I am being a bit mushy today 😋 But I love this quote and it somehow made me think about how grateful I am to have my wonderful partner in my life.

The first thing many people say, when they see me (or other calligraphers) at work is something like this »Oh, you must be so talented.« and »I could never do that.« My response is always: I don’t think I am particularly talented. I just practice a lot. But you could do this too, if you were willing to put the time and effort into it.⠀
Calligraphy is not something that you are just magically able to do by attending one workshop or reading a book. It takes a lot of time and consistent practice. Although I have to admit that progress is different for everyone - some people see results fairly quickly while for others it takes a lot longer to get to the same stage.⠀
Also it is a constant journey – if you keep practicing you will continue to see improvements, no matter at what stage you already are. And to be honest, I am also far far away from where I want to be in my writing.⠀
Of course you will always see others that are at a more advanced stage in their learning, but I think it is important to see others as an opportunity to learn and not to be envious. Keep doing what makes you happy and stop comparing yourself to others - your journey is unique, special and wonderful. No matter where you are, just believe that this is where you are supposed to be. Enjoy the journey!⠀
