And we are excited to announce that we'll exclusively be selling the incredible St Mungo Lager by WEST Beer on the day 🤯

Feels like the world has changed a lot since our last Takeover! Was very much the last hurrah for us 🍻🍻. We are hoping to get a follow up sorted once things get back to normal. It is worth supporting your local businesses during this time and this very much extends to your much loved breweries. In a lot of cases licencing has been relaxed to enable them to send beer directly to your door and I have certainly been taking advantage (support business and an excuse to try new beers 🤷‍♂️).

Hello beer lovers!

I'll type this quietly if there are a few of you a little on the delicate side, just wanted to say THANK-YOU to those that came along last night to our first ever Taproom, we really had a great night and really hope that you all did too! You were all GREAT!

We also want to thank Eaglesham Bowling Club, and in particular Bob and Aileen for all of their help! Always good to have an Engineer on hand at these things ;) and of course Claire Malloy and Elaine McHugh cheerz Galz!

This was our first shot at running this, and we know we can do better, and we really appreciated all the FEEDBACK that you gave us last night - we really will use it to shape future events! The countdown is on! We are just 24HRS from the first ever TAPROOM TAKEOVER!
And to be honest, after a week packed with plenty of negativity, I think we could all do with something to look forward to.
So how about NINE kegs full of beer & cider goodness from some of Scotland’s best craft producers?

Supplemented by four canned and bottled beers, plenty of traditional beer snacks, tunes, and some ‘kerds’? Sounds good to us!

Whilst we will have some measures in place to help with cleanliness, we ask that you PLEASE take responsibility for your own hygiene and take a common sense approach.

Now, we know it’s rotten outside, and we know there’s a fair whack of bad news circulating, but there is light at the end of the tunnel! Trust us!

It’s Wednesday, which means the countdown to the weekend is on; there’s Champions’ League football on the telly tonight, a Six Nations match to look forward to, oh, and THE TAPROOM TAKEOVER IS THIS SATURDAY!!!

A day of glorious beer, traditional snacks, good music and a propoer pub environment! So here’s our final keg pouring on the night!

‘WHISKY CASK CIDER’ by Thistly Cross Cider

A stunning cask-aged cider, this beauty is matured in ex-Glen Moray barrels to offer a dry and subtle perrier.

Infused with mellow, vanilla oak of the cask, this really is a refreshing yet complex drink to be savoured.

Pouring at 6.7% ABV, it’s our strongest pour on the night. But it is an absolute doozey!

We are so pumped for the weekend and so excited to see that Saturday is almost a sell-out. We have just SEVEN PAIRS (that’s 14 for the mathematically challenged) left to sell, with a handful of tickets available on the night.

The Good News keep coming! We are pleased to announce a limited number of beers from a brand new Brewery, based in MUIREND (proper Soufside that!) Simple Things Fermentations will be available on the night.

Set up back in September, the Brewery focuses on Tradition, Innovation...and doing things a bit differently. We have their first two bottle conditioned beers to bring to you, hot off the Mash🍯!

The first is a EUROPEAN PALE ALE, combining British, German and Slovenian malt and hops along with a Norwegian farmhouse yeast strain, producing a well balanced beer that delivers those big, fruity New World flavours along with serious drinkability.

And the Second? a SMOKED RYE PORTER, chocolatey, roasty dark grains of a porter married with rye spiciness and a wisp of smoke to produce a beer of unmistakable character. Heavily laden with malts from the peerless Weyermann maltings in Bamberg, Germany, this beer brings warmth and comfort to dark, chilly nights. Pull a chair up to the fire.😋

It may be from the East End, but with its roots planted in Croftfoot, Boden is the perfect fit for our Southside spectacular 🤩

Pouring at 6% ABV, Simcoe Lights is a stunning pale ale brewed using dry hopped Simcoe and Sorachi Ace hops 🌿

Expect a fresh and fruity beer with a fragrant aroma and light bitterness. Containing barley, wheat and oats, the unfiltered Simcoe Lights is vegan friendly 👌

This Glasgow-based brewer makes small batches of farmhouse inpired beer, filled with flavour.

Pouring at 4.1% ABV, this refreshing session saison in the grisette style, is traditionally low in alcohol and incredibly thirst quenching.

It is finished with Hallertau blanc hops late in the boil and again in dry hopping for fresh flavours of citrus, mild herbs and stone fruit 🍺

On the night we will have all allergens to hand for the beers we’re pouring. This one unfiltered, this beer is 100% vegan, but does contain gluten 󠁿

Brewed using traditional methods, it is a small batch brew made using locally sourced ingredients and is handcrafted with love, care and attention from passionate brewers 😍

It’s Friday, it’s the weekend, it’s Valentine’s Day – what better way to celebrate than by spreading the love of beer!? 😍🥰🚌

‘CAPPUCCINO STOUT,’ by Hidden Lane Brewery

It might come in at a sessionable 3.5%, but the stout packs a punch.

Light in ABV, it is full of flavour and a perfect all year round stout. With bags of coffee at two stages for this lactose infused gem, expect hints of roasted grains and a chocolate.

Using 100% UK malt and hops, three points to note during the brewing of this beaut are:
- Lactose for smooth cream mouthfeel;
- Collaboration with small batch coffee roastery, Rocket Monkey, from Ayr;
- Roasted grain give it the stout bite.
