안녕하세요 Hello!
벌써 6월이에요. 일년의 절반이 다 갔어요!!!
새해 초에 결심한 목표들을 잘 이루고 있나요?
저는 운동과 SNS 포스팅을 새해 목표로 삼았는데 잘 지키지 못한 것 같아요.
It's already June, and half of the year has passed! Are you making progress towards the goals you set at the beginning of the year?
My resolutions were to work out and make regular posts about Korean tips on social media, but I still have a lot of room for improvement. 😣😣
오늘의 한국어는 ‘작심삼일’ 입니다.
작심삼일은 사자성어로 내가 결심한 것을 삼일만에 그만두다 라는 뜻이에요.
즉, 내가 목표한 것을 중간에 포기했을 때 ‘작심삼일했다, 작심삼일이다’ 라고 말해요.
Today's Korean phrase is ‘작심삼일' (Jak-Sim-Sam-Il).
It's a four-character idiom that means to quit after just three days of pursuing a goal.
It can be used to describe giving up on a goal in the middle of the journey, like saying, "작심삼일했다" or "작심삼일이다."
저는 제 학생들이 한국어를 배우는 것도 중요하지만 무엇인가를 꾸준히 하면서 목표를 이루고 성취감을 갖는 것이 가장 중요하다고 생각해요. 제 인생 목표 중 하나는 학생들의 성취에 도움이 되는 것입니다❤️
While I believe it's important for my students to learn Korean, the most crucial thing in your life is to achieve the goals you have planned and steadily work towards the targets.
My ultimate role is to help students develop a sense of accomplishment as a habit by achieving Korean targets.
한국어, 다이어트, 혹은 다른 것들.. 우리 작심삼일 하지 말고 다시 시작해요!
Whether it's Korean, dieting, or any other endeavor, let's not give up and start over. Let's stay determined and keep moving forward!

❰ 3️⃣ ways to say “AND”in sentences ❱
사과 _____ 포도를 좋아해요
[하고]
하고 is the easiest way to put it in sentences as you just put 하고 after each nouns except last one.
.
ex) 저는 사과하고 수박하고 망고를 좋아해요.
I like apples, watermelon, and mangos.
[이랑/랑]
이랑 or 랑 use for verbal form mostly.
When nouns end with final consonants -받침- then 이랑 will be combined.
When nouns end with vowels - then 랑 will be combined.
ex) 저는 사과랑 수박이랑 망고를 좋아해요.
I like apples, watermelon, and mangos.
[과/와]
과 or 와 use in written form mostly.
When nouns end with final consonants -받침- then 과 will be combined.
When nouns end with vowels - then 와 will be combined.

5 YouTube channels motivate Korean learners greatly
1. 단앤조엘 Dan and Joel
Dan and Joel not only speak great Korean but also have insights on different issues. They have made clips of the reunification of Korea, who am I?, and many more.
2. 354 삼오사
Most members of 비정상회담-Non-summit from JTBC TV shows are very popular after the program finished a few years ago. Daniel from Germany, Alberto from Italy, Lucky from India are some of them and have their own YouTube channel called 354 삼오사. Their Korean level is just like Korean!
3. 비정상회담 Non-Summit
비정상회담[Non-summit] is a TV show from 2014-2017 multinational panel of men engage in debates on issues in Korean. The level of Korean vocabulary is high due to the character of the show and would be a great practice for academic & advanced Korean learners.
To watch the clip- search 비정상회담 in Jtbc channel.
4. 톡파원 디톡스 - Digital Talking Story
They are panels from TV show - '톡파원 25시' that shows new charms of the countries by residents (Koreans) and 디톡스(digital talking story) is their extra clips talking on different issues. The vocabulary level people use are intermediate and great for studying Korean with clips.
5. 미국아재 - Mister American
He makes clips about Korean coins(historical to modern ones) and Dad jokes in Korean. Are you bit tired of studying? Then how about refresh with his Dad joke clips?
