👌 MAT is obligated to immediately hold customer funds that it receives in connection with a payment order separately from the company's funds and from other customer funds in a trust account at a credit institution authorized to conduct deposit business until the payment order has been executed or the payment amount has been returned or credited to the customer in the event of a recall or a return transfer. MAT maintains a corresponding escrow account at Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG. Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG is a member of the protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Cooperative Banks (BVR).

The escrow account protects the depositor against the risks of insolvency or permanent suspension of payments by MAT. Should either of these occur, the amounts in the escrow account are secured and cannot be withdrawn by MAT. In that event, you would be able to claim your money deposited with or transferred to MAT under your payment order from MAT's insolvency administrator and receive it back from him or her.
