So you may have noticed that we’ve scaled back our Wookieing this year but with good reason …
We’ve been working our arses off in our day jobs to go on our dream trip!!! This required a bit of knuckling down and putting cookies second and we love that you have understood # # big love to all who continue to support us and comment and request custom orders ~ we looooove you all. Here’s some we’ve done this month just plodding along 😌

So finally our dream trip is here and prepare to be spammed with cookie wookie holiday videos!!
Mrs Cookie Wookie turns the big 5-0 on November 11th and she’s celebrating by going to Harry Potter Studios- where the movies were filmed.
Talk about a dream come true ⚡️❤️

First stop Japan .. Then Scotland, London then Paris.

Who doesn’t love a Christmas Pudding on Christmas Day? .. well sadly a lot of our Gluten Free friends miss out and have to have some dodgy desert that aunt Gladys whipped up.
Not anymore peeps!!!! Our dear friends at held their scrumptious Gluten Free Christmas Pudding Masterclass yesterday and taught some lucky people to create their very own Puds from scratch.
We made our fabulous Gluten Free and Vegan ~ Christmas Pudding Cookies for little thank you’s to the students and from what we see online a great time was had by all.

This Anzac Day we pay our fondest and dearest Respects to all those who served and who currently serve in the Australian & New Zealand Defence Forces and their loved ones (including Mr Cookie Wookie himself ⚓️who is currently protecting our Borders at sea.
You are not forgotten & never shall be as long as we discuss and remember your service and sacrifices.
Today we also pay respects to the humble but unbelievably important Anzac Biscuit.

“There’s nothing so Australian as an ANZAC biscuit, and most families have their own recipe handed down through the generations. They are an Aussie tradition that has endured the test of time. But how did an ordinary biscuit become such a national icon?

There’s been a lot of research done into the origins of the ANZAC biscuit. It seems that it stems from a Scottish recipe and had been an Aussie favourite long before World War I.

During the war, however, the biscuits were often baked to raise funds and an appropriate name helped sell them. They became ‘Red Cross biscuits’ or ‘Soldiers’ Biscuits’ and were often sent in care packages to the troops overseas. Without eggs, the biscuits kept well even on the long sea voyages of the day.

ANZAC bikkies are easy to cook and even easier to eat, so why not get into the ANZAC spirit and bake up a batch this ANZAC Day?

We are super frikkin grateful that you guys have allowed us to tap-out this Easter after all of our Easter cutters got unfortunately destroyed. Taking a break was the most obvious thing to do and we appreciate every single one of you for allowing that.

Needless to say though, we can’t wait to get back baking again real soon for the next major calendar event you guys love that’s all about the mummas ❤️

In the meantime, have a safe and relaxing break whatever you are up to.

We’ve had a lot of s**t on in the last 6 weeks .. what with moving Cookie Wookie HQ and settling into new jobs, health issues, the loss of a huge amount of cookie cutters (nasty dishwashing incident 😂😂😂) and family stuff - something has had to give … and it was cookies! 😭
We’ve had to put them aside for just a hot minute and focus on Lyfe …. and whilst we don’t love doing that, it’s been very necessary.
Having said that though .. we know that our dearest devoted fan base is still waiting in the wings and following us regardless and for that we THANK YOU and send bulk love and warm cookie dough hugs. Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you.
Your patience has been amazing. We’ve had to turn some things down and cancel others and you’ve all been so accommodating towards our need to.

We’ve still belted out some awesome custom jobbies though, and a rather cool and unique wedding this weekend (which we will feature over the next day).
Thanks are in order also to some fantastic SA based businesses who have helped us recoup our lost cutters & .sweetcut .. plus our two junior helpers Harry and Erin .boerma who helped us smash out the wedding cookies.
You guys are all the real MVP’s
