✂️ Many individuals opt to trim their long eyebrow hairs to achieve their desired shape or increase their thickness. While this practice may be effective for hair on the head, it is not conducive to eyebrow maintenance. The reasons for this are as follows:

✂️ Unnatural Appearance:
Human hair naturally tapers, with the tip being thinner than the root. Trimming results in a blunt, unnaturally coarse end, visibly altering the hair's natural appearance.

✂️ Styling and Shaping Challenges:
Trimmed hairs have a tendency to protrude beyond the desired shape and are more difficult to manage than their untrimmed counterparts, posing challenges for styling and shaping efforts.

✂️ Unpredictable and Uneven Tinting:
Trimmed hairs allow dye to pe*****te deeper into their structure, leading to a darker and uneven tint during the tinting process. This can result in a patchy appearance post-tinting.

🔺 HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE TRIANGLE TECHNIQUE?

⚠️ The natural growth of the lashes in each section of the eye will determine the shape of the solution placement.

🤔 For example, if your client has 3 types of lash hair (naturally lifted, straight and downwards), then you need to place the lifting solution on different parts of the hair. This is where the Triangle Technique will assist you 👇

⚡ On naturally lifted hairs, you apply solution below APEX
⚡ On straight hairs, you apply up to APEX
⚡ On downwards hairs, you apply above APEX

▶️ The shape of the solution once placed will mimic a triangle shape.

🛑 BEFORE DOING ANY PROCECURE, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS.

🧐 Porosity of the hair is one of the most important aspects to consider when doing any brow or lash procedure as it will affect the processing times of the solutions you apply on the hairs. The more porous, the quick the hair will absorb the solutions hence the processing time will be less.

⚠️ When tinting a hair that is porous, we recommend using a lighter shade to avoid any over-darkened hairs (or a diluted shade).

⁉️ How to know the Hair Porosity?
✔️ Hair would be brittle and dry
✔️ Not shiny
✔️ Not bouncing back

🧪 If you want to test if your own hair is porous or not, do the glass water test! Just place a hair in a glass of water and watch what happens!
🥛 If the hair stays on the surface, it means low porosity.
🥛 If the hair stays in the middle, normal porosity
🥛 If the hair drops to the bottom, high porosity

PRO-TIP OF THE DAY❗

You used a lash lami solution that contains Thioglycolic Acid (TGA) as the main active ingredient on your client.

🤔 Can you make the switch and use a solution that has cysteamine as the main ingredient at their next appointment?

✔️ The answer is YES you can. Especially when a client comes back for another procedure and some of the lashes are still lifted from the previous appointment so it is fine to use cysteamine as it is a much gentle solution on lifted lashes.

💎 PRO-TIP OF THE DAY! 👇

🍋 Once you remove the shields from your client, the first thing you could do is putting them in an acidic environment such as lemon water. You could leave them overnight.

🍋 The lemon water will neutralise the tint and it will prevent the shields from tinting further. It will not remove the tint altogether.

🍋 Do this immediately. Don't wait until your client leaves.

🙅 Also, avoid using a lot of glue as it will allow the lashes to be tinted faster

💅 Once your shields are tinted and ready for disposal, you could try using a nail file. The texture will change but it may allow you to use it them 2-3 times more.

🧼 If you have an autoclave device, put them in for 45 minutes.
