Our tiny human 2.0 has arrived.

Emilia was born 2 weeks ago.

We have been enjoying her and soaking in every moment and adjusting to life as a family of 4. She needs a little more TLC weighing just 2kg when she was born at 37 weeks. But she’s amazing everyone with how well she is doing and how quickly she could come home.

Asher is a truly amazing big sister and Rudi the best dad. I’m truly grateful for them and for my village who has surrounded us and loved us all so well over the past few weeks and months.

I’ve been very quiet on socials. There is a good reason why. One that was longed for for so long. One that’s come with some very high risks and lots of vomiting (Hyperemesis gravidarum is horrible) and one who is Tiny but mighty and will be entering this world very very soon.

Over the past few years I paired back the work I took on in case I became pregnant. I knew I would be needing to take it easy or on bed rest for most of my pregnancy if it happened. But it didn’t… After 2 years of trying, surgeries, medication, hormones and losses we didn’t think it was going to happen. We had just finished our last cycle of trying and set off to Bali and Java to celebrate Christmas and new year with family accepting we would be a family of 3. Rudi Asher and I. I know how fortunate I am to have them. Truly fortunate so decided to book in to get my tubes removed when we got home.

In mid January I started feeling unwell. Vomiting, nausea, more vomiting, and more…knew the signs. It wasn’t Bali belly (although I did have that 3 weeks prior) it as a Bali Baby.

We kept it very quiet. Because I was too sick to want to talk to anyone and because we were not sure if bubs would make it past 24 weeks. But they did and thanks to amazing friends and family who have supported us and an amazing medical team they are thriving and Im feeling human again. So much so I let my husband talk me into having a photo with Asher and bubs. (Thanks to my bestie for snapping it while we played in the blossoms on Saturday. There is a photographer in you yet).

Within the next month I get to meet my baby. I will savour every moment and I promise I will share a photo or two.

And in the new year I’ll be back to capture all your special memories.

Four years ago my greatest dream was fulfilled when you were born. Getting you safely into this world was a feat but worth every moment to have you in this world to see you grow and turn into the joyous, creative and wondrous girl you are. Happy birthday Asher.

There will be morning field sessions and afternoon beach sessions available.
Sessions are $180 and include 10 photos for you to choose and treasure.

Why is it that the littles humans can completely wrap as up in their smiles

I can’t even deal. Sometimes friends are more like family. Toby and I grew up like family and seeing his family grow and how happy he is truly makes me smile. Can’t wait to meet their new little man very very soon ❤️

There is no place like your mumma’s arms. They uphold you and hold you all at the same time. They juggle a million things all at once and yet they are never too full for their little ones. They are a refuge and a strength and so snuggly all at the same time. And for us mums. Their giggles and smiles and hugs make it all worthwhile

Photographing Tom and his bride Steph’s wedding day gave me all the feels. I first met Tom as a cheeky 4 year old with a grin that I knew would make hearts melt. Twenty something years on he’s just as cheeky and found the most wonderful woman whose heart has melted and Toms heart well that belongs wholeheartedly to her.

Caitlin and Matt’s big day was an absolute blast. I’m not sure if I have actually met a couple more visibly excited to marry each other! They are couple goals and I am so happy I got to photograph your special day

Throwback Thursday to when this little guy couldn’t wait to meet his little bro!

Busy weekend with not one but two weddings and some gorgeous mummy and me sessions. My absolute highlight was Ellen’s Vows to Ryan. I have never heard such beautiful yet hilarious vows! You two are wonderful and your love with last until suspicious death!

This little girl is pretty excited for her mum and dads wedding today.... i can’t wait either!!!! See you all soon

Not going to lie a huge portion of my heart belongs to the people in this photo. They are some of the best most wonderful people you will ever encounter!

Went adventuring with my little helper to find some perfect spots for our upcoming mummy and me sessions. There are a few sessions left if you want to book in!

It’s funny how ‘location settings’ can make such a difference. They can be magical, bring back the fondest of memories or make you go a little crazy! My computer decided to do an update that made my operating system go crazy and I’ve spent 3 days trying to fix what turned out to be the ‘location settings’ but they are fixed now and I’m on the oversized chair (my preferred location for editing) and being taken back to this stunner of a wedding set in the Riverland at their homestead. For these two this location will hold a lifetime of memories and I hope at 80 they hold hands, kiss and take a stroll down memory lane
