Over 30 years ago the bengal cat was bred from an Asian leopard and a domestic cat and has since become very popular as having the wild leopard look but without the wild nature. The size of bengal cats can grow quite large especially the male bengals. Bengal cats have pelts not cat fur which allow most cat lovers that are allergic to cat fur to be able to have a bengal cat with no allergic reactions. They are brown spotted or silver as well as snows. Currently I breed brown spotted bengals but in the future I am looking at breeding the silver spotted bengal which are as stunning as the brown spotted bengals. One day my daughter came to visit and she showed me a picture of a male bengal cat for sale that she was interested in. When I looked at the pictures available I saw very sweet faced female that was also for sale. My Daughter inquired about the male and unfortunately he was already adopted to a family. She then inquired about the female and she was available, her name is Crystallized and by appearance she did look like a crystal figurine. So the story begins. I became a Bengal cat owner. Crystal's owner/breeder was Megan Bowden from Bengafrogz. I was so excited when Meg allowed me to become the new mum of Crystal and I thank her everyday for trusting her baby to me. Megan and I stay in touch regularly and I keep her updated with news of Crystal and her babies. Then came a time to find crystal a perfect mate and boy did he have to be special mate for my Crystal. This was not an easy task, until I found Christopher and Sharon Wi******er from Bengalsaustralia. Their daughter Louise had a bengal boy named Justin Tyme. I thought the name said it all (just in time) for Crystal. I saw pictures of him and knew he was Mr. when he arrived he walked straight out of his cage and had something to eat and made himself at home. So the perfect partnership between Crystal and Justin Tyme started. I like to thank Christopher, Sharon and Louise for trusting me with Justin Tyme both Crystal and Justice (names shortened) are a blessing and are forever my babies. To keep the breed professional I am a registered bengal breeder with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy of SA (G.C.C.F.S.A) as well as Feline Association of South Australia (F.A.S.A.) So now the story of Shaloma Bengals continues.
