Enjoy our fabulous cello scholar Ethan Porter as he presents this beautiful suite by 18th Century composer Matteo Zocarini, which carries echoes of the style of Bach’s ‘Italian Concert’.
Tunes on Tuesday runs in cities around the world, giving CBD workers the chance to enjoy a 40 min concert tucked inside their lunch break.
So if you’re free between 1 and 2 bring your packed lunch or takeaway delight and enjoy it in the pews of serene St Matthew's in the heart of stunning AlburyCity as you listen to something beautiful. The concert finishes at 1:50 to allow you to be back on deck at work by 2!

Congratulations to our amazing scholar Billy Stewart, who has had a string of successes at the national Band championships in Adelaide this weekend.
It has been a great weekend with Billy playing Solo Cornet with Wodonga Brass (who came second in Open C Grade) and also Debuting on Trombone with Hyde Street Youth Brass Band which took out Junior B grade.
Billy also competed in National Solos taking out 1st in Junior (u19) Eb Cornet (Champion)

An early start for our singing scholar, James, this morning, who is off to the residential National Choral School in Sydney for the next ten days. Thank you to those who have contributed to scholarships for country kids - building skills and opening up opportunities like this for young and aspiring local students of music.

Our clever cello scholar Ethan will be going to the Melbourne Youth Orchestra Summer School again in January, where he will be part of the Symphony Orchestra. End of school concerts are on Saturday 13th January and will showcase the up and coming young musicians who promise to be amongst Australia’s star performers over the coming decade, and beyond. We are so proud to be part of supporting Ethan’s musical journey - thank you to all who contribute to our scholarship program - giving our regional kids access the opportunities that they merit. SMMA Singing Scholar James is busy preparing for a concert Monday at the Sydney Opera House. James has been invited to sing with Gondwana Voices and has been spending the days learning the music in beautiful Edgecliff. Music really does open up the most amazing doors for our scholars - thank you to all who contribute to St Matthew's Music Association - providing country kids with musical opportunities.
