At work!
One of the Alumni 🏆
It's been quiet here, but busy in the background!
Firstly, things are getting serious now in preparation for my debut in the Supercars Championship at Sandown, followed by Bathurst. More news on that soon..
It's been busy behind the scenes, including driver coaching with Edge Motorsport, ticked off driving the new Porsche 992! Plus assisting SI Racing in the T86 Series and experience days with Shell V-Power Motorsport Park.
Now at Sandown to compete with Harris Racing in the Saloon Car series, starting from the pole/already beaten my own lap record!
On the way to Phillip Island for the GT Festival we called in to see my favorite racer, the great Jim Richards - he gives new meaning to the term Motor Racing Legend!
Jimmy is looking great and it was terrific fun to yarn and reminisce with him, his daughter Danielle, and his grandson Jett.
Jett is in his early stages of racing in Excels and the Mazda RX8 trophy series, where he has proven to be fast.
Another racing dynasty!
JB🏁👍
Tigani Motorsport is scrambling to repair its Supabarn Mercedes-AMG GT3 following a pre-practice crash today at Phillip Island.
That's a result!!
A two car team can only hope for a one / two result and Randle Racing achieved that today in their division in the Shannons SpeedSeries which featured the Monochrome GT4 series.
Today's 3 hour race was our first enduro for the category and ran and was administered perfectly by SRO and Motorsport Australia.
Thanks to everyone involved. Everyone made us so welcome, and with only one safety car late in the race, without that it would have been perfect !
For all the guys and girls at Randle Racing, I thank you all for your dedication and commitment.
No one is full time in this gig. It’s a credit that ring-ins can work so well together!
My fellow drivers Jacob, Pete and Jamie all did an awesome job.
But my butt is sore now from pushing the brake pedal so hard!
How about these Monochrome trophies??
Seriously impressive!
Thanks everyone for the messages. See you Queenslanders at Leyburn Sprints in two weeks!
JB🏁👍

Hoping to keep up the momentum at Queensland Raceway
Round 4 is at Queensland Raceway 2nd August to the 4th August! 🏎️
Coming off a win and best presented team at the Bend they will be the ones to watch this round so make sure to watch Jacob Lawrence and John Blow they’ll be racing a BMW in the Monochrome GT4 Australia speed series.
If you're in the area, head to Queensland Raceway to watch the race or it’s free to air on Channel 7 and 7+.
Stay updated through Randall Racing via Facebook and Instagram.
A great opportunity for Brad here.
I look forward to seeing how he goes!
Welcome to Tarmac Tuesday 😎
We are having a great year in Supersports Racing New South Wales Australia
The weekend is going quite well!
Never been on the West circuit. Time will tell if we like it or not 🤷
Back to the Bend in two weeks time!!
Very excited to be at Sydney Motorsport Park for round 2 of the NSW Super sports Championship.
Looking forward to working with Simon Copping as we progress with the fabulous West LMP4!!
I can't wait to see the Blendline coverage. Unfortunately I can't be in 2 places at once so while I will be with Randall Racing at the Bend when the Super Sports are at SMSP all is not lost
Good results this weekend.
We have a list of things to work on to move the team forward but it is the shortest list from a team after it's first race meeting that I have seen!!
They went pretty well without me it seems!
Unfortunately RES has also fallen foul of the "unavoidable clash" and will be at Phillip Island for the first round of the Australian GT4 Championship.
We will however be in constant contact with the Simon Copping crew as they debut the beautiful West LMP4
TWO DAYS TO GO!
There is so much to talk about with the 2024 Regulator Automation New South Wales Supersports Championship its hard to know where to start..
The best place to start is in our rear view mirrors.
Firstly, to Justin Tigani, Jonathon Canavan, Sergio Pires, and the others who are hopefully going on to bigger and better things, thanks for making 2023 an epic year that is never to be forgotten.
Yes it may have been “highly competitive” on one or two occasions, but that added to the epic intensity throughout the year, and the pointscore from the beginning to the end has never been closer.
And watching Justin attack Turn 2 at fifteen tenths was memorable!
You will always be welcome back to race in New South Wales Supersports..
Now back to the future – Round 1 of the 2024 Regulator Automation New South Wales Supersports Championship this Saturday the 13th of April at Sydney Motorsport Park.
The Class 1 Radical SR3’s will unfortunately have a depleted field due to an unavoidable clash with the first round of Radical Cup at Phillip Island.
However, this means that those Radical SR3 competitors present - Mark Brame, Warwick Morris, Shaun Hannah - will need to work hard after Round 1 to maintain the small advantage they will gain, although there hasn’t really been a time when any Supersports competitors haven't worked hard.
Mark may have a track record with his 2022 Championship win, which may give him at the most a psychological advantage over Warwick and Shaun.
Mark is the proverbial faultless driver, although Warwick has been improving in consistency and speed in recent years, and by the end of 2023 Warwick had never been closer.
Shaun Hannah has been a product of Supersprints, mostly in GT cars, and he will be racing with us on Saturday after obtaining his licence during the Friday practice, something which is in very little doubt after observing him at the recent Radical East test day at Sydney Motorsport Park where there was absolutely no sign that he was only about to commence his circuit racing career.
Having fewer Class 1 Radical SR3’s than usual does have a shiny side, with there being one of the largest grids of Class 2 “prototype” Supersports for quite a while.
It is impossible to say which is the biggest headline in Class 2 for Round 1 of the 2024 Regulator Automation New South Wales Supersports Championship.
Is it Simon Copping who is debuting his brand new stunningly beautiful long-awaited Australian-made DAS West LMP4?
Or is it teenage sensation Thomas Hughes in only his second ever race, or, sorry, is it Thomas’s legend dad Phil Hughes, who will be at the wheel of the Hughes Supercars Services Radical SR8?
Or is it Nick Kelly debuting his brand new Industrie Wolf Tornado S?
Or is it Team Regulator Automation with Alex Kenny in his knee-trembling Nova Proto NP01 and Neil Kenny in the Juno SSE2015CN, with both these drivers and both these cars being highlights whenever they are on the bitumen.
Now Darren Barlow could also be a highlight with his extensively re-engineered Stohr WF1, although at this time it is looking a bit shaky that the Stohr will be 100% ready.
In addition to the New South Wales Supersports cars, the Australian Prototype Series will be sharing the real estate and bolstering the grid with their spectacular prototype cars and spectacular prototype drivers.
The internal rivalry within APS has been ferocious for several years.
The inspirational South Australian Mark Lauke, with his Lauke Flour Mills Wolf Tornado S will be fending off APS Champion Adeladian Jean Paul Drake in his near-new Wolf Mistrale F1, Jason Makris from the Gold Coast in his brand new Ford Coyote 5 litre V8 engined Wolf Extreme, the rapidly accelerating Andrew McKee from South Australia in his Wolf Mistrale F1, Ross Poulakis in the Bathurst-winning Praga R1, the experienced Dyson Song in his newly-acquired Wolf Tornado, Queenslander Grant Green in his Wolf Tornado, and Terry Peovitis in his RFR F1000 car.
The Pointscore will be updated progressively throughout the day, as always, by Committee-man George Davis remotely, so we will all know who all the different Class 1 and Class 2 trophies will belong to by the presentation after the last race of the day.
Also, let’s all remember to give each other sufficient racing room to avoid unintended cosmetic surgery to our valuable and beautiful Supersports cars!
And finally, Regulator Automation stickers will be provided to all New South Wales Supersports competitors, so please place them on your beautiful Supersports cars as soon as practical.
