Gorgeous Jacintha's hair is an exception when it comes to curl envy and hair goals.🎀 I can guarantee her hair is the epitome of the perception of "perfect curls".. But guess what ?? I'm sure we have all heard of the saying "we all want what we don't have" right ? Well Jac would looove more volume !!! But ... She doesn't have a lot of natural volume that comes from the roots!! On the flip side.. you've certainly heard of .. "The grass is not always greener on the other side" .. A LOT of people with natural volume want to subdue it or flatten it down because they hate it for one reason or the other..eg They don't want the "eighties" look ( my personal fave) They don't want to stand out or They can't stand the frizz that comes part and parcel with volume .. Yes...Frizz can also come with hair that has flatter roots and that's another subject, but if I can impart something to you now ... Please please dont look at the so called flaw, whatever "you" may think that is, by what you have been told, heard about by all the curl influencers, societal standards, what someone else has.. OR by what you see in the mirror 🪞 Don't get me wrong.. this is just an encouragement to help you love the hair you have and embrace it in all its glory!🩷🌟 Ps, we are going to work on getting some grit into Jacintha's roots for more volume and that's OK.. and it's also OK to want to subdue your volume,...and its OK for someone with a looser curl parttern to want to achieve tighter waves ..OR stretch out the curls for people who want a more looser curl because it's TOO curly .. yes, that is a thing and more common that you would think 🤔 🤦‍♀️🙅‍♂️😅 My Point IS .. So this is what I'm really here for... A day in the life of LèVan!! I'll do a post on some of the consult for this.. my dear client Alison really didn't have a clear idea of what she wanted or didn't want for that matter apart from the bulk removed.. but she was open anything so it did make it a very flexible haircut in every sense of the word.. However, the consult went for atleast 20minutes working out how it would fit her lifestyle, practicality, and manageability and that we were definitely on the same page.
