The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that Bay Leaves contribute anything to cooking, but after tasting this Sicilian liqueur I’m a believer.

Incredibly complex, herbaceous, sweet but not too sweet and a scrubby garrigue type of note. Harmonious!

A few fresh drops now at Half Moon 🍷  It's Easter already - how good is a solid long weekend?!   We've topped up the store with a few fresh drops and some returning favourites. The shelves and fridges are always rotating at Half Moon Wine Store so we thought we'd keep you updated.

It’s no secret we fanboy hard over Frankland Estate.

Along with the more alternative offerings like their Touriga Nacional and Gruner Veltliner, they also make benchmark Western Australian Chardonnay and Shiraz from their organic, estate-grown fruit in the remote Great Southern wine region.

The Chardonnay offers notes of orange, chamomile, white peach and almond, with the Shiraz showcasing red fruits, star anise and a truckload of spices.

A semi outlier in the Envinate range, Albharra is Moorish for “Little Sea” and is made from Garnacha Tintorrera grown in shallow soils around the village of Albacete in Spain’s sprawling La Mancha region.

In a region that has more than its fair share of high-alcohol, jammy numbers, Albahara is medium-bodied, dark fruited and spicy, with a freshness and vitality that only Envinate could produce.
