You can find us most days out enjoying dog sports we actively compete in such as Flyball, Agility, Rally-o, Canine Disc, and Tricks. We look forwards to hopefully adding Conformation to the list with our foundation litter being of excellent quality. Any planned litters are very carefully thought out and raised

Well after what could only be described as a team effort to make this happen I am very happy to say Lyra was confirmed this morning! She has a small tribe on board and so we will be taking all the interest ahah.
These puppies will be suited to a variety of tasks depending on their individual temperaments. Coop is a gorgeous clowny easygoing lad who wouldn’t harm a fly if his life depended on it. I thoroughly enjoyed having him stay. He loves pats and cuddles. A couch. And a an explore around the acreage. But he’s also very much so a dog that could convince anyone and anything that he’s their best friend. Lyra takes life a bit more seriously. She loves a good job whether it be disc, agility, tricks or rally she loves to engage and learn and give her all. Shes a speedy intense little dog with a heart of gold. But she is a talker and her first litter owners will attest to that. She will however smother you with love and cuddles. So with that said I am expecting a variety of drive and arousal levels from these puppies. There is performance dogs and conformation dogs behind both parents and lovely natures all around. But most importantly there’s dogs that want to be with you on your couch or on your lap and part of your world.
This litter continues my theme of trying to have success in the field of health and it is part of continuing my general research. As some of you know I am a big advocate for trying new things and trying to understand all the fun aspects that affect joints and growth of our beautiful breed. And a breeding is always more than just the parents. It goes behind them as well. I am excited to say Coops sire who is a wonderful boy on his own merit has spectacular pennhip scores of 0.22/0.28. So keeping in mind the results of coop & Lyra, their parents and also the results I’m accumulating on Lyras siblings, half siblings and now her first litter (very lovely results on Envy) I am very excited to do another round of traction matting in my whelping box.

A huge thankyou to everyone who helped this happen, Kylie & Georgia for participating in the run around, Jacqui for being a temporary stay point (I’m so beyond sorry about your wrist) and to Courtney & Patrice for sharing some of their gorgeous program with me. I am beyond thankful.
Well it’s time for an update ahaha. We’ve been once again quiet. Busy life for the human this year outside of dog sports and also just the wet weather haha. But the tribe has done some wonderful things lately!
Edison finished off his Jumping Masters title a while back and is well into accumulating his jumpers points towards his championship. Of course he’s still hanging out in excellent agility so it’ll be a slow process ahah. But a fun one regardless. He’s been his ever wonderful consistent self and is the best boy ever.
Lyra hasn’t had much chance to do much playing this year. We’ve had lots of close runs and exposure in the jumpers ring. We will continue working on verbals and distance because I don’t know how those little legs travel so much ground so fast ahah.
Wensy has been miss brilliant as per normal. Shes loved playing all her sports. Disc. Agility. Flyball especially this year. She’s really found her groove and is doing better everyday. Cracking a PB of 4.026? I think. Soooo close to sub 4’s ahha. Unfortunately she chose to come into season and skip agility states, the very first recognised sprint dog trial in Australia and agility nationals. Typical miss Addams.
Speaking of sprint dog trials Miss Envy participated and came away with her first quallie towards her Novice Sprint Dog Title. Sooo happy for her. She was a bit torn between herding and chasing but I think she’ll get the groove of this sport very quickly. She also participated in the state and national trick trials. Her first one though good she was her clownish self and made a few space cadet errors ahah. But she came back on nationals day and smashed it out getting a 4th place in starters and a quallie towards her title! Very proud to see this little girls brain starting to click into place ahha.
Mr Alfie also participated in the Novice sprint dog trial. He however said he’s not really supposed to chase things ahah. But he was his best self and gave it a go before going back to hang with Jesse until he could find his mum. I think with some work he’ll also get the hang of this. Alfie has also been playing in the rally and trick ring and is not far off his Rally Novice & Trick starter titles. A big Thankyou to his mum Brooke for working with this kid and setting goals. He loves learning even though he yells about it ahah. Alfie’s also been having a play in scent work classes and seems to be really really enjoying it. They had their first fun trial and he came away with a pass. Bestest dude.
Mr Moose has been playing in his agility classes as well as obedience and tricks and is having some major breakthroughs with realising that agility might be his favourite thing! He’s really switching on and enjoying the journey.
Now for the best girl ever Miss Indigo. Miss Indigo also played in a few events over the weekend at state and national trials. Over the year she’s been collecting her Novice Trick dog quallies and is absolutely loving the fun and fast paced cues her mums been giving. But sometimes she just wants to have all the fun. Which brings me to very proudly say that Miss Indigo and her gorgeous mum had their first official Dancing With Dogs Freestyle attempt at the Nationals. This little girl was cheeky, happy and had the most fun in the ring and really showed who she is at heart and came away with 2nd place at the National Championships. A huge win for anyone but especially for this little dog.
And this is just what I can remember off the top of my head ahha. If anyone’s had any awesome wins and victories no matter how big or small or who you are please share them below! It takes a village.
Maybe the next time I post it’ll be to discuss the pitter patter of tiny paws 🤭
Happy 1st Birthday to our Gossips Litter how it’s been 12months is beyond me. Furthermore how you’ve all made it to being 12months old is beyond me. The wildest tribe of feral beings with hearts of gold and all the snuggles to offer. A truly quirky bunch ahah.
Of course one little slice of this family isn’t here with us today and my heart hurts for this little boy all the time. There’ll never be a funnier more loveable little fighter than you little Frank. You will be endlessly missed. I love you buddy 🪽💛
And whilst it might not always be a successful weekend it is very much so always a wonderful one when camping and playing canine disc with our friends!
A lovely weekend away camping at Toogoolawah for the weekend. Always one of my favourite weekends.
It was certainly the day for Rally Obedience ahah.
Little Miss Indigo also went out to a rally trial today. This girls really starting to get her trialing groove and have fun and love it. It’s always lovely to see her happy face.
She came away with two stunning scores resulting in two 4th places and her Rally Novice title!
A big congratulations to Indigo & her mummy Sonia. Very proud of you both.

Mr Alfie went out for his first rally trial. At 10months of age he’s always loved learning (alongside scattered teenage bc brain) and his mum felt she’d give it a try.
Well Mr Alfie went out and brought home 2 quallies towards his Rally Novice title. The judge couldn’t fault his skills and said they’re beautiful just a deductions for him tightening his leash here and there.
Very very proud of Alfie & his mumsy Brooke

We look forwards to hearing from you

The ever gorgeous Indigo 💜 (Sonstrid Reign of Virtue) went out today with her mumsy for a triple trick trial.
Miss Indigo has started playing in Novice and had a beautiful day full of fun and pulled out 3/3 quallies with a couple of placements (2nd & 3rd) and stunning medals.
So unbelievably proud of her & her human mumsy always learning and playing and sparkling together.
And of course a shout out to her furbrother Jett who had some wonderful placements and qualifiers in Intermediate tricks today too.
The lyrabug had her first competition back in February and her second one the weekend after. And whilst the first comp looked like this the second looked like we were both off with the clouds ahah. So we stepped back and went back to training skills and we will try again next month!
2024 will see a quieter competition year for the team with a rotating roster limiting our free weekends but we look forwards to all the training fun and time with our dogs regardless!
Just proud of these kids! On the weekend we were invited by some dear friends to take part in their demonstrations held in the VitaPet arena Dog Lovers Festival It was wonderful to catch up with friends. Get to talk to others in the community and spend time a tribe of dog loving humble genuine people.
Miss Wens (Milangimbi Touch of the Devil TKS RA JD SPD FDCH CDB GDB) got to see a dock for her first time ever and play some dock diving. For a dog who was almost in the lap dog division she went out and still had so much fun. Here’s hoping we see some dock additions to practice on in south east qld after this years show. She jumped everytime and gave it her best go. Shoutout to Todd the pool boy for hauling her b***y back onto the ramp because for some reason she just couldn’t work that out ahaha.
Little Envy (Sonstrid All Eyes on Me) also got to have a play this weekend. And I think it’s safe to say she surprised everyone. She channeled her inner mothers side (we love you remedy) and put her best focus on and didn’t step a foot wrong. In such a busy loud arena she did a baby dog demonstration with gusto. A few little side tracks with her frisbee being where she felt she couldn’t get it. And a brief pause to watch herself on the big screen but for a little 8month old who loves to get distracted by shiny things I couldn’t have been prouder.
It was a lovely weekend. With lovely people. Anyone else make it out to the dog lovers festival?
If you’re heading to the Dog Lovers expo in Brisbane this weekend you just might catch two familiar faces there! The girls will be doing some demonstrations and Wensy is going to have a play at dock diving! Feel free to say Hello!

A Merry Christmas from the Sonstrid Tribe to all of our friends, family, and followers!
Featuring photos stolen from the lovely brothers in Bundaberg! Alfie (Sonstrid So Ewe Heard) and Moose (Sonstrid Spread the News) from our gorgeous Gossips litter.
That’s my summary for the year!
I’m very very fortunate to have such wonderful dogs and wonderful people who do this crazy life with me!
A huge thanks to each of you who takes the time to help me get dogs places. To Jesse who spends a lot time running these lot. To Moira who encourages me to stop being a scaredy cat. And to Mel for being so chill and listening to me all the time. You’re a great little dog sporting tribe to be a part of.
Hopefully 2024 brings more happiness and success and friendship!
Last but never least the littlest Buggy Bun Bun! Little Lyra love had a quieter year because she had some beautiful little puppies. But we still worked on our agility skills and hopefully next year we will get out there!
Little Lyra (Sonstrid The Stars Who Listen TKS RE RPT) only had a few months of the year but she did her RA & her RE and we look forwards to playing in RAE RM and agility in the new year! She also did a few confo shows. I really do need to do more with her.
Despite the short amount of time she surprised me and came away with some club awards of her own. Shes dog of the year for Logan for Rally Advance and Rally Excellent! Logan is one of those clubs that has a strong obedience and rally presence so this was a lovely surprise!
This little stick of dynamite comes next!
Miss Wensy (Milangimbi Touch of the Devil TKS RA JD SPD FDCH CDB GDB) has spent her year starting a million titles and then finishing very few ahaha. In typical Wensy fashion she’s all in everytime. And though her SPD title was after cut off she still got some pretty ribbooonss.
Wensykins finished her RA JD & SPD. She’s sooo close to finishing a fair few other so I’m excited to see what next year brings for her.
Wensykins came away with another club overall award from Logan. For the second year running she is Games dog of the year. Very proud of this little pocket rocket.
Alright haha. I put it off because writing lots of things isn’t my friend lately but let’s get started on how the Sonstrid dogs went this year! We had a quiet year just being humble and working on skills and getting back to what we love and with everyone working on personal issues and life it was a big year.
We’ll start with our honorary Sonstrid member Mr Edemame Bean!
This year Ed completed 5 titles and was just one quallie off of that 6th one! He completed his JDX AD GD SD & JDO. The JDO was a surprise little add in because Eddie’s a sticky agility dog but I’m very proud of him regardless. I love this dog more than anything. Through all his bits and bobs he’s found his happy place in agility and I couldn’t be happier for him.
His year playing agility has seen him come away with some overall club awards from the lovely Logan All Breeds Dog Obedience Club. For the third year in a row Edison is jumpers dog of the year. For the second year in a row Edison is agility dog of the year. It’s always a pleasant surprise but it’s lovely that his time on this earth however short has made some big memories.
Our sweet little lady Indigo (Sonstrid Reign of Virtue) and her wonderful mumsy have graduated from agility level 2! And they got to play a round of tunnellers and came first. So very very proud and happy for them both 💜
Our lovely Miss Evie came away with novice jumping dog and novice games dog club trophies at Presentations last night in Cairns! Beautiful effort to her & her mumsy. And lovely memories 🥳
Mr Cosmo from our Stars & Dreamers litter has been out enjoying life. He and his owner have been setting goals and working hard towards them but having a lot of fun along the way. It’s always lovely to get an update

Our Gracie Girl (Also affectionately called Gracious)!
Gracie is our feral farm dog if the family and I’ve loved every second of watching her grow the last 14 months! Slow & steady and gorgeous.
Over the next few months grace will undergo some health testing for statistical data and then she’ll live out her days being her most wild child self ahah. I’m hoping to catch up with this girl in the new year!

This beautiful girl recently underwent X-rays for peace of mind before upping her activities at agility. These were then sent off to OFA (Singapore doesn’t have its own health databse)
I really appreciate my puppy owners taking the time to check their health of their puppies and letting me know what’s going on across the whole litter not just the chosen one or two who continue on. It really does help with making informed breeding decisions going forward. So Thankyou to every puppy owner for listening to me rant on about health testing ahah.
The good news is miss Misty from our Royals 👑 litter (Sonstrid Lady of Elegance (AI)) has come back Elbows Normal and Hips OFA Good!

These two gorgeous boys headed to Maryborough on the weekend for their show cluster! And they certainly had a good time, especially moose ahaha.
Alfie came away with 4x Baby Puppy of breed. And his brother moose came away with 4x Runner up Baby Puppy of Breed. Some more show experience under both their belts and lots of positive experiences. Two very good, sweet, funny boys.

Sometimes simple days are the best in the world. With the rain threatening agility training lately we’ve had more time to do simple things. So the dogs and I headed out to the creek for a swim and play and then stopped by a cafe for dinner on our way back home 💜🩵
Life’s been very very busy. So I haven’t been keeping up to date with much. Eddies been playing agility still. He’s gotten himself another JDO quallie and 3rd place. And Wensys gotten herself another two quallies towards her JDO. She’s decided that’s what she’s working on at the moment ahaha. Lyras just been learning. We’ve picked up an extra agility training slot each week at the local arena for hire. And she’s been practicing her rally. 2024 should be a nice year for her! And I’m considering trying Eddie in rally-o myself. I know he can do it and hopefully with me maybe his RN will be possible.
Lyra and I entered a few shows. Whilst we didn’t come away with any points we did get some lovely critiques and had another go at learning the sport that is conformation. Maybe once she has coat back we might try some more.
The years winding down. We only have a couple more competitions left and then it’s holidays! I’ll try to take more pictures and post more memories to share with everyone 🙂
A big congratulations to miss Indigo on completing her Trick Starter title! With a 3/3 quallies in a triple trial I’m so so proud of her confidence and happiness. She really is a very genuine good dog and I love hearing about all her successes 💜
I got a message from the ever lovely Raelene who owns beautiful Evie from our Stars & Dreamers litter! Evies first year of competing in agility has wrapped up and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
Since her first competition in April (so in 6months) miss Evie has finished up her JD, SPD & her GD title! And she’s making progress on her Novice Snooker, Novice Agility and Strategic Pairs Excellent (with her ever lovely partner Impulse).
2.5 years ago I sent a picture of this little girl on a dog walk to Raelene saying she was ready for her future. And I definitely wasn’t wrong 💜

An update of Ripley! (Who I keep referring to as tattle. Very sorry to his wonderful parents ahahah) He’s thriving! He’s started his obedience journey and his adult coat is coming in. Beautiful beautiful dark chocolate. It’s stunning. I miss this gorgeous happy funny boy but I’ve heard he’s still continuing all his mischief but in the best ways.

The last two days have been spent by the Sonstrid Tribe doing agility, rally & tricks trials at Logan All Breeds Dog Obedience Club! We got to catch up with Mr Summit (Sonstrid Snow Crowned Peak (AI)) and Miss Indigo (Sonstrid Reign of Virtue (AI)). I love seeing my puppies. These two are 1 years old somehow. Time has flown!!
Summy was along as top quality support crew once again proving that anyone and everyone is his friend they just didn’t know it yet ahah.
Indigo girl came out to once again have fun and enjoy herself and keep working on her engagement and confidence in a competition environment! I’m forever proud of this girl. She had some beautiful runs today and came away with a qualifying score towards her Trick Starter!
Wensy and Eddie played in agility last night. Edison had a stunning JDM run but then in typical Edison fashion of late just really couldn’t resist his best friend the tunnel ahaha. But that’s okay. We will keep working at it little buddy! Wensy told everyone that Jesse was in the wrong place after resetting her during her JDX ahaha. And then she went in for JDO and blitzed it! First place over all heights and a STUNNING run. However it ended with a bit of a tumble so we decided to pull her from her AD run and let her have the week off to recoup and watch over her.
Little Lyrabug played in rally today. And whilst she seems to still have a case of baby brain lingering (she says she’s never heard what a sit is before) she still came away with two quallies one being a lovely second place toward her RE finishing off her title with a quallie to spare. Now a break from her. Some more training. Then we will play in RAE till she’s ready for masters.
I am so so proud of this tribe of kids. I love the people we trial with. Incredibly hard working, genuine humble people who are happy for everyone and support everyone. I love the attitude towards playing sports with our friends. We are lucky to have such good natured puppies to spend our lives with.
