Aeromedical services contribute to a large portion of Avcair's day-to-day, transporting patients, and organs, and providing emergency air retrieval services with the highest quality service.

Our jets can be fitted with life-saving equipment with a simple changeover, allowing medical staff to work while in the air, necessary for high-level support, speed and accuracy when patients require a medical facility fast.

Australia's Oldest Flying Family.

Avcair's CEO & Founder, Michael Cooke, is a fourth-generation pilot, founding Avcair just six months after obtaining instructor rating.

His father, Dr David Cooke, has been flying since the 1960s, working as a Royal Flying Doctor in outback Australia. Still flying and operating as a GP to this day, Dr Cooke has no plans to retire.

Michael's grandfather was a spitfire pilot in World War II.

Though, it doesn't stop there. His Great-Grandfather was the 11th person ever to be awarded a pilot license, and in the very first class of aviation at RAAF Williams Point Cooke, flying in the First World War in 1915. Now, Avcair is run by Michael and his brother, Anthony Cooke, and sister, Amelia Cooke.

Proud of our rich family history, we are excited for Avcair's future and international ambitions.

Almost 7 years ago, Michael realised that Avcair needed to adapt and diversify, expanding outside of Australia's immediate market. Since then, the Avcair Aviation Group has skyrocketed, charging through the global pandemic with fears of uncertainty and instability, but came out the other side with global partnerships and an all-new base in Singapore.

At 81, pilot and doctor David Cooke still flies his own plane to treat patients and loves his job He lands in a cow paddock to visit country patients, and for fun takes out his vintage plane to lead a regular air show. It's all in a week's work for Dr Cooke, who has no plans to retire any time soon.

Today we honour and remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. On this ANZAC Day, we pay special tribute to Rolla Cooke, the grandfather of our founder Michael Cooke, who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Rolla Cooke died at the young age of 23 in an aircraft accident while serving in No. 145 Squadron Spitfire aircraft P7624 in Catterick on November 4, 1941.

We can never fully express our gratitude for the selflessness and courage of those who served in our armed forces. Their bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered, and we will continue to honour them on this day and every day. Let us never forget the sacrifices made by Rolla Cooke and all those who have served and continue to serve our great nation.
