Starlink is having a world wide outage at the moment. All Starlink services have been offline for 35minutes so far, but looks to have recovered in the last few minutes. This is affecting Starlink services in Australia and New Zealand as well. This is a timely reminder for those deploying Starlink services for business to have a backup or failover connection in case of extended Starlink outages like this. The best type to have is a Seamless Failover, that can fail over in under 1 second.

More NetVault RDKs for Starlink are heading up to Cairns to assist with flood recovery and disaster co-ordination. A testament to the durability and reliability of the solution we have developed which allows the Queensland government to rapidly deploy high speed internet access where it is needed most. The Department of Energy and Public Works in QLD is hard at work providing vital assistance for Cyclone Jasper recovery.

Cyclone Jasper is no match for NetVault! What a fantastic turnout at the Melbourne SMB IT Pro meeting this week. We were finally able to get down to present again to our friends in Melbourne after so many years of border restrictions, lockdowns, and everything else in between.

When you have done business with a client for 15 years, it’s great to be able to take their whole team out for a Christmas lunch. It was great to meet up with the team from Digit IT for a well overdue Christmas lunch.

Despite the large scale Starlink outage yesterday (01/12/2022 6:56AM GMT+10), NetVault Clients who have our Seamless Failover technology were unaffected.

The attached photos show a remote school in South Australia, where we installed a Starlink connection with NetVault’s Seamless Failover technology. This school had zero downtime during the outage, and that they did not even notice the outage, thanks to the sub-second failover within our technology.

Graphs from our Netmon monitoring system show the outage start and end, and what occurred during seamless failover and seamless failback.

It was a “hell of a day out” at the Brisbane SMBiT Professionals Christmas party at Kingston Park last week. Through all the straights, bends and love-taps, congratulations goes to to Bryce Telfer who came out on top. Our very own Radek and Rohit even receiving trophies on the night. Great to see our team presenting at the Brisbane SMBiT Professionals Chapter meeting last week. They presented on NetVault's telephony products and solutions, which included our hosted 3CX and hosted vPBX solutions.

It was a good turn out by the members and ended off with a good Q&A session and discussion about helping the members provide a telephony solution to meet their clients requirements.
