OK, so I gave it a really good prune. Opened it up a lot for more light to get in, but it also helped to point out the trees faults and areas that I need to improve/fix.
The taper on the main left trunk is the obvious one, but also the right trunk needs work too. The point where it has been cut in the past on the right will need some serious attention.
I need to decide whether to shorten the left hand and regrow a whole new top to help with taper, or maybe a branch will pop up in a good place for a sacrifice.
At any rate, I will let it recover for a while before i do too much more on it.

This is a fairly large guava I recently acquired from an older gentleman who was selling his collection due to his health. He said he had the tree for 20 years.
The first thing I need to do to it is prune it back and have a really good look at what is underneath the bushy foliage
