Lord, have mercy.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, we remember those murdered during the N**i genocide, and all subsequent genocides. We vow to stand against the persecution of anyone because of their identity or faith.

Let us pray that hatred be replaced by the love of God, who calls each person precious.

Each of us can be a light in the darkness. Light a candle tonight for Holocaust Memorial Day, and pledge to stand against hatred in all its forms.

The Lord almighty grant us a quiet night and a perfect end. Amen.

Merriam Webster offers definitions of **justice** as "the quality of being just, impartial, or fair," "the principle or ideal of just dealing or right action," and "conformity to truth, fact, or reason."

Let's continue a non-violent struggle for justice this day and all days, in whatever capacity, and with whatever energy we have right now. We won't always have the courage, or the tenacity, or even the headspace for this walk that will often feel uphill, even if we are starting from a place of privilege. Yet we will have a God of Justice with us, leading us on, lighting the way, and bringing us the hope of tomorrow.

So help us God.

Families suffer seven years without water supply in eastern Ukraine It has been seven years since conflict first broke out in eastern Ukraine and made access to drinking water a struggle for millions.

Today, I declared Sunday, March 14, 2021, as a day of prayer and remembrance for those who have died in Louisiana from COVID-19. As of today, we’ve lost 9,812 of our neighbors, friends, brothers and sisters to the virus.
