Pet Food Alert
Please be careful of buying Grain-Free cat/dog food. Some of the ingredients may cause a vet visit at least, and you don't want to think about the worst.

Just a little entertainment!
Some cats can be very difficult to administer tablets. However well mashed in food they either won't eat it or amazingly seem to eat around. Or they fight you for giving it by hand.
My cat Minou is like that except she loves hand feeding so I just sandwich the tablet between 2 pieces of dried food and make sure she gets another after to ensure she swallows it.
Having her do "UP" isn't about training her to do tricks, it's about bonding. I always tell her how clever she is, and even is her bowl is full she prefers this.

This is one of 3 tiny kittens found in Darcy Kelly Rd over the last 10 days- they are most definitely NOT feral, they were just frightened and starving š. They are very tame, friendly and ready to purr once caught and fed (they are gorgeous kittensš), so they had clearly been dumped up here :-( ... The 3 caught so far (2 tabbies, and a black and white) now thankfully all have (indoor) homes, but it is possible that there may be one or more kittens still out there? A grey kitten was possibly seen, although that may have been one of the 2 tabbies in poor light. They are now around 6 weeks old, but small for their age. They were originally spotted close to the Mt Glorious Rd end of Darcy Kelly Rd, on the lower side of the road, opposite Lisetta's. If you see another kitten, please text Karen on 0421 467 221, and if I'm home I'll come along and bring a cat carrier and some food to try to help catch them... thank you so much... ššæš¾
ā SERIOUS NEW DOG DISEASE IN QUEENSLAND ā
The tick-borne dog disease ehrlichiosis (err-lick-ee-o-sis) has been recently confirmed in a Queensland dog. It is reported that this dog had not travelled outside of Queensland, meaning the disease has likely found its way into our local tick population.
Erlichiosis can make dogs very sick ā and without treatment can kill them.
Dogs that are sick with this disease get a fever, look very tired, do not want to eat and lose weight. Their eyes can also go blue and mucky, and they can get nose bleeds. It is important you use anti tick products on your dogs to stop the ticks from biting them and spreading the disease.
If your dog is sick, make sure you take it to a vet.
Dog owners should have their dogs on regular tick products, always check their dogs for ticks, and look for signs of the disease. Talk to your vet about the best tick products to use.
If you think your dog has ehrlichiosis ā speak to your vet, community Animal Management or Environmental Health Worker straight away.
