How are you surviving this winter? We're sick for the 3rd time in about 7 weeks. 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully it's not too severe but that's why things have been rather quiet around here.

I'm posting my pansies which have been cheering me up. We'll ignore all the leaves that need to be cleaned up though! 😅 Hope you are all making it through winter better than we are!! 🤞❤️

Good morning! Who else is excited for a new day, new week and new month? I'm thrilled not to be sick after a rough week last week. 😅

Just thought I'd share how I'm currently keeping my PDF sewing pattern instructions. I'm a little bit in love with my label maker! 😂 But it does make it sooooooo easy to find what I'm looking for rather than just having a bunch of folders I have to browse through.

With the way my brain works, I find it much harder to use the instructions on a screen, especially since I don't have a tablet I can cart around easily whilst sewing. I had always bought physical patterns from the main pattern companies in the past but over the last couple of years, I have started buying more PDF patterns online. I print out the instructions and pop them in these folders which works really well for me.

As for the pattern pieces, I haven't fully sorted that one out. 😅 I quite like keeping them unfolded but this can be really tricky to store as I don't really have a space I can hang them up. Earlier this year, I got a few patterns printed in AO size for the first time and I LOVE not having to tape a billion pages together. I get them printed with all sizes showing and trace off the size I need. I have started keeping these masters in A4 envelopes but again, not too sure what to do with the traced off pieces. 😂

Did you know an alpaca fleece is also called a blanket? It's probably because the part of the fleece that is used for spinning is the top part that goes over their body, like a blanket.

For those following along with the alpaca fleece project, we have finally (Yes, I know we are slow!) got the last bit washed and drying! It took 3 loads because I only have 2 delicates bags, despite one of them being at least twice the size of standard ones! The plan is to start combing it next week and then we can finally try spinning! I can't wait!! 😃

🍄 Not long now till Game of Shrooms 2024! 🍄 But what is Game of Shrooms???

Game of Shrooms is a worldwide art/craft hide and seek event created by Attaboy. Artists & crafters from all over the world will be hiding their mushroom themed work for ANYONE to find and KEEP! This year's event is on Saturday JUNE 8th.

I am hiding my cute little mushroom pop and will be posting hints in my stories and a post on the day. If you find my item, share it on your socials and tag me so I know who found it!

We are very excited today to finally begin working on our alpaca fleece!! The first lot is currently soaking and we are learning so much as we go! 😂 Like...

🦙 Clear the entire table for picking!! The fleece might look small in a bag but it is actually huge once you pull it out!
🦙Even if the fleece looks really clean, it isn't!! We have found a lot more plant matter and even bugs than we thought we would. And my hands were filthy with dirt afterwards!! I have no idea if we are picking out enough stuff but guess we'll find out!
🦙Since we only have 2 delicates bags, we can't actually soak the entire fleece in one go. 😅 But this might prove to be a good thing if we mess up the first lot! Hopefully that won't happen though!

I am taking lots of photos and videos and will try to keep sharing the process as we go. 😊

Happy Star Wars day!! I took my little Grogu with me today to my church's craft group to supervise while I continued to work on my 'eternal' blanket and a chunky velvet chicken nugget for my son. 😆

I also had to wear one of my Star Wars shirts with the awesome Ewoks! I have LOVED Ewoks since I was a kid. 😁

Fun fact: That tiny little Grogu is the cause of my severe case of tennis elbow that has never healed properly and stops me from crafting as much as I want to. 🤦‍♀️ Lucky he's so cute!! 😅
