POSITION AVAILABLE:
The Lead Estimator is responsible for estimating the costs of construction projects and service quotations ranging from medium to high complexity, working with key stakeholders to provide the most cost-effective plans that meet high-quality standards. From time to time you will also be responsible for seeking and quoting on electrical works suitable for Haz-Elec’s business.

The role will focus on analysing costs as well as collaborating with key stakeholders to optimise cost strategies. Your role will also include bid delivery and completion of project and service estimations, inclusive of compilation and submission of bid deliverables. You will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager and Branch/Service Delivery Managers to prioritise your time and activities, to support the strategic growth of the business portfolio. This position reports to Senior Operations Manager and General Manager. Duties balance percentages will be determined by the Senior Operations Manager.

The Lead Estimator role requires a candidate with strong initiative, drive to achieve personal and business quotas, ability to work independently with flexibility and focus, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal communication skills: on the phone, via email, and in person. This role collaborates with Branch and Service Delivery Managers across the organisation and provides critical field level feedback to the organisation to constantly improve customer engagement.

Such an amazing opportunity for Haz-Elec Industries to represent our trade at the annual MineX Roadshow 2021. Hosted in the iconic mining city of Mount Isa, Queensland.

Offering a wide array of products, technologies and services the Mount Isa Team and Branch showed an array of commercial, industrial and residential solutions. Whilst also meeting an array of industry professionals, guest speaker sessions and great show specials at the event.

One of our own, Raymond Board, has recieved the devastating news. Makayla Board, his 7 year old Townsville girl, has had the terrible misfortune of a diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. A cancer requiring chemotherapy to treat.

Her mother Kate, has also been admitted into ICU with myocarditis causing heart failure. Kate is on life support in ICU, hooked up to an ECMO machine. ECMO is used when all other forms of heart and lung support have failed for critically ill patients. She's has been placed in an induced coma, and is being monitored 24/7. If her condition worsens, she may require a heart transplant.

It is difficult to put a dollar value on the cost of this and the impact it has on a life, both for the treatment in 12 months, and the life-long impact it will have on Makayla, Kate and the family. The suffering caused by the uncertainty of this is immeasurable, the impact of the outcome highly uncertain, and the best thing for everyone, is to be together through this time. It would be ideal to have the family not have to worry about money, and to be together as much as possible, not separated.
