This month we are celebrating our principal consultant's birthday!

Meet Jo - Jo is the Principal Consultant at WorkAbility Rehab with over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and within the workplace rehabilitation space. Jo graduated from UWS in 1998 and during her studies formed a keen interest and passion for OT within a work context. This propelled her straight into workplace-based rehabilitation where she gained momentum for her passion in helping people and achieving recovery at work outcomes.

With a strong desire to balance the needs of all parties, Jo’s focus on client recovery combined with business acumen and realistic expectations, see’s Jo achieve outcomes and progress again and again. Jo leads a team of professionals who share her passion for knocking down barriers, finding creative solutions and supporting the recovery process for all.

When not at work, you will find Jo clocking up some kms on her rower, relaxing with some yoga, cooking, or hanging out and laughing with her family and friends.

Meet Elisha - Elisha is a senior Occupational Therapist with over 12 years of experience, having graduated from the University of Western Sydney with Honours in 2008. Elisha has experience in both clinical and consulting positions and has worked in a variety of settings including occupational rehabilitation, paediatrics, community aged and disability sectors, home modifications and equipment prescription, research and medicolegal assessment. Elisha is a dedicated therapist who is client-focussed and passionate about providing quality service and achieving the best outcomes for clients. This month, we are celebrating another one of our team's Birthdays. Meet Alana - Alana is a Provisional Psychologist who enjoys working with clients of all ages in assisting them reaching their therapeutic goals. She has completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Alana has worked as a Specialist Support Coordinator, Rehabilitation Consultant/Counsellor and Neurofeedback Technician in her previous roles. This year she will complete her registration and be a fully registered Psychologist. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing with her dogs. This month we celebrate one of our team's Birthdays. What better way to celebrate than introduce our team via 'Faces of WorkAbility Rehab'. Over the coming months, we will introduce our team - don't forget to wish them a happy birthday! Meet Steve - Steve is our Business Services Manager. He has a background in transport and logistics spanning over 25 years. This started in a family transport business and then progressed into all levels of management within Finemores, Toll and Prixcar Services. Steve transitioned the Toll business to Prixcar as the General Manager, a position he held for 4 years. Activities to assist with increasing positive mood 🤸‍♀️ Low mood can lead to lack of motivation, withdrawal and isolation. Unfortunately, this creates a cycle where withdrawal and isolation exacerbates a person's low mood. This continuous cylce is difficult to break. One way to break this cycle - is to focus on completing activities. This will assist with reengaging with family, friends, fun activities or hobbies. This then creates a new cycle of positivity.
