My wish for you is for this half of the year to be easier. My wish for you is happiness, wellness, wealth and balance.
Try living in gratitude to ease the burden of what you have lived with in the past:
- remind yourself daily of everything that is good in your life
- start your day with a positive attitude
- start your day with energy
- remember to do what makes your soul sing
- reach out and be kind to others
What you give out to others will always come back to you in volume.
🤔Remember if you share a smile, people will often smile back at you😁

Keep on creating and learning 📖🎨🖌️

After a conversation with a friend, I was reminded just how important it is to continue learning. Learning in whatever form suits you will allow you to live a more fulfilling life and live with happiness.

Firstly, there is formal education through an institute, school or online course….this may help you to earn a living.

Then there is self-education, reading, creating, practising, experimenting, discovering …..this can help you to gain wealth. Wealth in happiness, wealth in self-gratification, wealth in self-care, possibly even financial wealth.

Both forms of education have their value in taking you to a higher level of potential.

The importance is to continue with education throughout your life. Never stop learning whether that be in a formal setting or participating in self-guided education. Broadening your knowledge will always give you a more gratified and fulfilled life.

Be the person who is continuously seeking,and absorbing new information, the person who creates,the person who experiments and try’s new and exciting forms of knowledge.
It is people like this who have the courage to step into the future with a lust for life, happiness and gratitude.

Sending a big thank you out to my dear friend Kristy from WA for gifting these beautiful floral reference books to the Boho Art Students. Kristy I’m sure your Nan would be pleased to see her books be put to good use.
Kristy is an amazing mixed media and animal artist. Check out her work KrisArt bykme. My favourite piece is her bear.

I’ve loved creating this new super sized macrame mirror. It’s a nice big 75cm diameter. I’ve created this piece for the culmination of a unit of work on mandalas that I have just shared with our Mindful Art groups in the Boho Art Studio.

A great Boho Art Bubbles and Brushes workshop

The ladies worked on layered botanicals and shapes to create these fabulous designer decor pieces of art. I love how individual and unique they have al turned out. It was a fun and relaxed afternoon. Thank you all for coming along.

Layered Botanical Workshop

Saturday 22nd April, 2.00 - 5.00pm

The afternoon promises to be a fun, lighthearted, social afternoon. You will be creating a step/by/step layered botanical painting. If you have ever wondered how I 'layer-up' a piece of artwork, now is your opportunity to find out about the process.

You are welcome to choose your own colours to suit your tastes and decor.

• The workshop will run from 2pm until about 5pm. Please arrive on time.
• All art materials are provided so that you can create this lovely modern design.
• Enjoy a glass of bubbles with cheese platter and relax into the social atmosphere
• Cost: $50

Have a wonderful Easter everyone 🐣🐰
It is celebrations all around at Boho Art studio today. Lots of Easter eggs generously shared from the ladies in our morning class, not to mention the beautiful flowers (thank you Marilyn).
I love baking something for our morning tea each week for the adult classes but this week is was something special for Easter.
Our Boho Art Kids Club had a fun afternoon decorating eggs and making chickens and rabbits. They soon filled their little Easter bags 😄🌸💕

The HOTA Gallery experience at the Gold Coast is fabulous with 5 levels to explore. Yuriyal Eric Bridgeman’s exhibition is fascinating.

Something New ⏰
I needed a new studio clock so thought I should make my own. This is hand painted (not pouring paint) using blending techniques and a little gold. It has a beautiful glassy finish created with resin.

It’s a special celebration this week in the Boho Art Studio. It is 2 years ago that I opened my studio to a group of friends during Womens Health Week.
I held a ‘Mindful Art Session’ in support of womens mental health, we shared some afternoon tea, a few laughs and lots of talking. It was alot of fun and the ladies asked if they could continue coming to the studio.
We are now 2 years down the track. We have weekly Mindful Art sessions and Workshops at the studio, countless morning teas, cuppas and more conversations than I could ever recall. Friendships have developed, connections have been made and artistic skills have evolved.
Womens circles are a very powerful thing. Add to that the practise of Mindful Art and I know we have created something very precious here.
Thank you to all of the wonderful people who are a part of Boho Art, I hope you gain as much from the experience as I do. Love to you all 😘

What a fun few sessions we’ve had in the studio creating our own paper.
It’s such a beautiful process. I love the excitement of inspecting each stunning sheet as it dries.

Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2022 opens on Friday 21 October. Over 100 sculptures will be installed across the iconic Bondi to Tamarama Coastal Walk until 7 November.
