Speaking of celebrations, we are having our Greek Easter Bouzoukia Lunch next Sunday at both our venues. Perfect for family and friends! 🇬🇷❤️ Here is the recipe for the Greek Easter Red Eggs! Ingredients: - White eggs (as many as you like, but they should be room temperature to prevent cracking) - Red food dye - 1 tablespoon of vinegar per cup of water - Olive oil (for polishing) Instructions Prepare the Dye: Add sufficient water to cover the eggs in a pot. Mix in a generous amount of red food dye and a tablespoon of vinegar. The vinegar helps the dye adhere to the eggshells. Boil the Eggs: Gently place the eggs in the dye bath. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to maintain a gentle boil. Cook for about 10-15 minutes. Cool and Polish: Remove the eggs from the water and let them cool. Once cool, you can polish them with a little olive oil on a soft cloth to give them a nice sheen. Display and Crack: On Easter, the eggs are often used for a game where each person takes an egg and taps it against the eggs of others.
