Endometriosis is a progressive and chronic condition in which tissue similar to those that line the uterus (endometrium) are found in other parts of the body. It affects about one in nine women and it is an extremely painful condition. The cause of endometriosis is somewhat unknown and is often misdiagnosed. โฃ

As the body is about to start menstruating and producing more estrogen, it will start to react to that. Our uterus wall will thicken naturally, however people who suffer from endometriosis have these tissues on other parts of their bodies as well and they will also thicken and bleed. โฃ

For those who donโt know, our female cycle is split into two phases: the follicular phase and the luteal phase. Assuming your typical 28 day cycle, we break it down into two 14 day phases. follicular phase day (1-14) and the luteal phase starts after ovulation (day 15-28)โฃโฃ
