We're taking a break.

As you're all aware, we're about to welcome our daughter into the world. we have decided to take a small break from the markets to settle in as a family.

Our first markets back will be:
-26th May, Dayboro Day
-9th June, Redcliffe Markets (continuing our fortnighting rotation)

We have big plans for the business, and we can't wait to jump all in after my recovery.

Dragonflies and damselflies collectively called odonates are among some of the oldest winged insect groups on Earth. They have been around for 250 million years.

Common name: Ulysses
Location: Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

The upper side of the wings are an iridescent electric blue; the underside is a more subdued black and brown. The colours are produced by the microscopic structure of the scales, a phenomenon called Structural colouration.

Location: Africa

Locusts look like ordinary grasshoppers most notably, they both have big hind legs that helps them hop or jump. They sometimes share the solitary lifestyle of a grasshopper, too. However, locust behaviour can be something else entirely.

Location: AUS, NZ, USA + many more.

Its wings feature an easily recognizable black, orange, and white pattern, with a wingspan of 8.9–10.2 cm (3.5–4.0 in).
The adult emerges from its chrysalis after about two weeks of pupation. The emergent adult hangs upside down for several hours while it pumps fluids and air into its wings, which expand, dry, and stiffen.

The basal part of the upper surface in the males brilliant steel blue, the distal area of both wings delicate light blue. But in the female the proximal region is darkened, being broadly black, though with intensive metallic reflection. Forewing with three white median dots, the light blue restricted to a relatively narrow median area.

The remarkable feature of this butterfly's wing is that it contains rows of very small concave surfaces that reflect light in many ways. For instance, the centre of the concave surface reflects a yellow-green light and the edges reflect a blue light.
