1:Set up your Digital Identity (myGovID)
2:Link your myGovID to your ABN
3:Authorise others to act on your behalf
4:Log in to Online services for business
5:Nominate your authorised agent in Online services for business
6:Let your agent know you have nominated them
(As there is no automation for this service .)

BOOKKEEPER or ACCOUNTANT

What’s the difference..? 💭

Bookkeepers are in charge of accurately recording and maintaining business records 👩🏽‍💻

This could be by recording and allocating business transactions,capturing receipts, completing payroll and superannuation, processing invoices and much more. Bookkeepers also ensure that the correct business % use is being claimed, aswell as the correct amounts of GST, where applicable.

Accountants typically are in charge of reviewing, analysing and creating reports and plans from the information that Bookkeepers prepare. This could be in the form of budgets, financial statements, tax returns, tax planning and so much more 👩🏼‍💼

Each Bookkeeper and Accountant will vary depending the skills of that person, the size of the business and their particular niche. Alot of the time there is an overlap of the two and Bookkeepers will sometimes do a little bit more of the accounting and Accountants will often do a little bit of bookkeeping.
